Summary

  • Attach macOS DMG/ZIP, Windows NSIS/portable, and Linux AppImage/deb to every CalVer GitHub release, plus a GHCR image.
  • Point Homebrew, Winget, and Scoop at echohello-dev/homebrew-tap (echoHello.Pidex) until the official directories list us.
  • Generate a square app icon and document the unsigned-build limits (Gatekeeper / SmartScreen).

Consequences

  • Every push to main now spends matrix minutes packaging three platforms.
  • Builds stay unsigned until CSC_* secrets exist.
  • Official homebrew-cask / winget-pkgs PRs are still a follow-up; do not auto-submit on every CalVer tag.

Testing

  • bun run lint
  • bun run typecheck
  • bun run test:unit (34 passed)
  • bun run test:integration (8 passed)
  • Local electron-builder: pidex-mac-arm64.dmg and pidex-mac-x64.dmg
  • brew tap echohello-dev/tap and brew info --cask pidex

Test plan

  • Merge to main and confirm the release workflow publishes a draft, then artefacts, then undrafts
  • Download pidex-mac-arm64.dmg and launch (right-click → Open)
  • brew upgrade --cask pidex after the tap syncs
  • Confirm ghcr.io/echohello-dev/pidex exists and is public if GitHub created it private

Made with Cursor

Releases were CalVer tags with no artefacts. Package DMG/NSIS/AppImage
on a three-runner matrix, publish GHCR, and point Homebrew/Winget/Scoop
at echohello-dev/homebrew-tap until the official directories list us.
