Summary

• Add the complete Phi transmutation of William Morris's News from Nowhere, chapter 4, "A Market by the Way."
• Carry the chapter through six movements and 121 aligned source-and-Phi units, preserving its journey, architecture, market, theatre doors, regional encounter, and final misunderstanding.

Transmutation choices

The chapter uses the full Phi vocabulary for every voice, including module words where they fit. Exact source identities such as Hammersmith, King Street, Barn Elms, Florence, the architectural traditions, plaster, bronze, and peas remain in Morris's citations; Phi carries the visible role, substance, or relationship instead of inventing substitutes.

Morris's "poor/poorly" pun cannot survive as a close lexical correspondence. The Phi scene rebuilds the misunderstanding around huwa, weak: Guest leaves the relevant pressure unstated, Guide hears bodily weakness, and Guest later clarifies that he means people without enough resources. The social discovery remains, but the ambiguity belongs honestly to Phi.

The Humanizer and project-voice pass caught and removed an earlier artificial version of that exchange, in which Guest named resources before Guide inferred illness. It also reduced enumerative explanation, removed curly quotation marks from generated prose, and kept the chapter's mild humour in concrete moments rather than commentary about its own significance.
