feat(atlas,realm): ship canonical Greater Realm pipeline and next-gen grass

Summary

Ships the private deterministic pipeline for one canonical Greater Realm world and the production-ready Realm vegetation presentation requested from the three-stylized study.

Canonical Greater Realm foundation

• Generates one organic 100k–150k-cell continent with bounded terrain, hydrology, climate, ecology, strategic, living-world, package, replay, and owner-review authority.
• Keeps private package fields dormant and owner-only while binding them into stage/final/package/chunk digests, tamper detection, exact field validation, and cleanup.
• Current identities are generator greater-realm-v2-natural-continent-pr-a.17, terrain seed namespace .3, living-world authority v4, and private atlas format 8.
• Hardens generated-water component traversal so typed search scratch and temporary coordinate lists are retired on success and failure without changing the pinned candidate bytes.
• Pins the known eligible ordinal-9 final digest in the candidate-generator suite.

Next-generation Realm vegetation

• Adds true stable near/mid geometry LOD: segmented hero blades near the camera and genuinely lower-topology one-triangle mid blades.
• Uses a deterministic one-of-two stochastic handoff for shared roots, eliminating the overlapping alpha masks and density dip that ordinary near/mid alpha blending caused.
• Enforces explicit High/Balanced/Reduced instance, triangle, cache, flower, upload, and aggregate draw ceilings; grass draw caps are 6 / 4 / 2.
• Uses fixed-capacity camera-local pools, dynamic repack uploads, recomputed wind-safe bounds, and enabled per-pool frustum culling.
• Upgrades the Three r185 grass and flower shaders with analytic bend-following normals; grass retains root-to-tip grading and restrained view/sun thin-blade transmission.
• Adds far-band vegetation tint, roughness, and derivative-filtered normal relief to the terrain material.
• Uses exactly one opaque stochastic coverage path: alpha-to-coverage under MSAA, alpha hashing otherwise. It never double-applies coverage.
• Detects shader-marker drift and renderer-level GLSL compile/link failure. Grass falls back to credible static standard material; optional flowers discard the triggering frame and hide fail-closed with zero draw telemetry.
• Adds a separate deterministic near-detail wildflower layer derived only from accepted grass/ecology roots: one bounded draw, 512 High / 256 Balanced / 0 Reduced instances, shared wind clock, independent placement channels, and no raycast or shadow path.
• Validates the complete linked attribute layout, every count/byte multiplication, each dynamic buffer, and per-profile repack ceilings before any vegetation allocation. Unsupported plans downshift atomically to a proven lower profile or terrain-only.
• Makes grass, flower, geometry, mesh, and material construction failure-atomic; partial GPU resources are disposed before errors escape.
• Enforces the advertised 24 / 16 / 0 Hz grass wind-update ceilings while preserving reduced motion, exclusions, visibility policy, deterministic replay, and coordinate-free telemetry.
• Extends the authoritative rendered-WebGL DOM/probe contract to validate true near/mid topology, flowers, coverage-mode exclusivity, shader fallback, overview zeroing, capability attestation, and every quality ceiling.

Provenance

The grass direction was informed by three-stylized at commit 3275628 and its credited stylized-components source at commit b182d81, both MIT-licensed. This is a clean-room implementation: no third-party source, shader, geometry, texture, asset, test, or tuning constant was copied.

Scope guard

• This does not activate the private Greater Realm package in the client, stream private package fields, publish a SpacetimeDB revision, expose seeds/coordinates/review images, deploy Pages, or change the custom domain.
• The vegetation upgrade applies to the existing public Lowlands/general Realm renderer. Greater Realm runtime activation remains a separate reviewed release step.
• Grass and flowers intentionally neither cast nor receive shadow maps until a parity-proven animated color/depth/distance shadow path exists.
• Optional WebGPU/TSL remains deferred; Three's experimental WebGPU renderer does not support this production onBeforeCompile path, so WebGLRenderer/GLSL remains the fail-closed baseline.

Validation

Green on pushed commit d9c1732:

• Candidate generator: 21/21, including exact eligible ordinal-9 final-digest replay.
• Complete affected grass/flower/terrain/scene/capability/browser-probe set: 179/179 across 10 files.
• TypeScript project build and production Vite bundle passed (1,857 modules).
• License policy, exact runtime assets, all Hegemony runtime asset families, tracked file-size policy, production-dist exclusions, Greater Realm public boundary (1,381 tracked paths / 958 scanned entries after build), and Farcaster Mini App integrity passed.
• Deterministic canonical Genesis grass digest passed twice after the exclusive LOD handoff update.
• In-app rendered WebGL inspection on the final source produced no browser warnings/errors and no grass/flower shader fallback:
  • High: 1,004 near + 691 mid grass instances, 30,563 triangles, 6 draws, 126/512 flowers, A2C-only.
  • Balanced: 417 near + 259 mid, 9,793 triangles, 4 draws, 61/256 flowers, A2C-only.
  • Reduced: 66 near + 35 mid, 1,095 triangles, 2 draws, zero flower geometry, alpha-hash-only, frozen wind.
  • All three reported preferred, the expected selected profile, and maxAttributes = 16.
• Full-repository serial run outside the restricted sandbox: 301/303 files, 3,574 tests passed, 79 skipped. The only unavailable files are the private Greater Realm package/toolchain attestation suites: this host exposes Node 24 while the security boundary locks Node 22 plus exact executable-package-tree digests. Those checks failed closed; no product or vegetation test failed.
• The locked external Chrome probe also failed closed before launch because /Applications/Google Chrome.app is not installed. The in-app Chromium evidence above exercised the final WebGL scene and shader programs instead; the probe's executable attestation was not weakened.
• git diff --check passed and the worktree was clean after commit.

This PR remains draft; it is not authorized for merge by this update.
