Measured on vadelma 26 Sep 2026 (main d5736cd, Jabra Speak2 40 = ALSA card 0, car away):
~/.carwatch/car-bt-macholds the car's MAC, solisten._speakaimed every answer at the car's bluealsa A2DP sink even with the car not connected, and never reached the USB fallback. The 14:46 "Hello, do you hear me?" was HEARD and answered in the room, but nothing played. Now the car is used only when its A2DP link is actually up after the connect attempt; otherwise USB, then headset, as before.scripts/car-speak.sh(dash speak button, brief): falls back to the firstUSB Audiocard when the car is not connected. Known limit: while the voice listener holds the Jabra (mic keepalive from Voice: keep a silent output open on USB speakerphones so the mic streams #70), this path can get "device busy"; it then reports the failure to the dash instead of claiming success.@handleanywhere now addresses the car. Agents' third-person mentions and the owner's spoken names mid-sentence stay quiet (tested).Tests: new
tests/test_speak_route.py(5), which fail 2/5 on main and pass with the fix; full suite 165/165 OK.Not deployed. Deploy on petrus's word (update.sh / carwatch-update.timer).
