## Cycle 9 research decision and build DAG (2026-10-05)

Research gate [#67](https://github.com/SYMBaiEX/OpenController/issues/67) records the new AI/game, gaming/platform, and adaptive-input source log, workarounds, confidence, repository fit, overlap audit, and coverage limits. The sweep found substantial adjacent pain, but no new independently supported OpenController controller defect: remote-play sessions and observation belong to game/streaming integrations; provider quotas belong to model tools; reconnect/mapping reports are upstream Proton/SDL/driver cases; XAC/Flex reports concern external firmware and physical-device paths. Reddit mirrors were blocked and no first-party OpenController user telemetry exists. These are not prevalence estimates.

The repository audit found two directly verifiable correctness gaps. They are selected as repository findings, not as claims of externally demonstrated OpenController demand.

The selected issues have disjoint primary files. Build them in separate worktrees, fetch before implementation and final validation, and stack only if a real dependency appears. Native GitHub dependencies encode `#58 -> #67 -> (#34, #33)`; milestone and labels track the active work while Projects V2 write access remains unavailable.
