Snapshot capture could accept a file edited, truncated or replaced while it was being hashed. Preview 4 rejects observable changes by comparing opened-file metadata and current path identity, while accounting for Windows timestamp differences. The portable snapshot format and offline, read-only helper contract stay unchanged.
Add 11 acceptance tests to normal CI discovery, bringing the suite to 108. A disposable tenant-access project proves a failing regression, scoped repair, fresh-evidence closure and rejection of old subjects or changed policy. All five CLI commands also run under a test-only audit guard that denies filesystem mutations, sockets and process creation. The routing matrix covers 94 cases and all four modes/ten modules. Keep all CI jobs running after a failure to retain complete platform results.
Validation: local Python 3.13 passes 106 tests with two unavailable-symlink skips; repository validation checks 10 modules and 284 local links; diff checks pass. All 108 tests pass with no skips on hosted Windows/Linux Python 3.10/3.13 at repaired code revision 02e753a. Both push and PR matrices pass:
The initial capture regressions failed before the helper fix. The first hosted attempt also exposed a Windows short-TEMP-path fixture error; resolve the test root and assert each injected mutation actually occurred. Failed/cancelled runs and the repair are retained in docs/exec_ctrl/V2_PUBLICATION_READINESS.md. Final publication revision ecc9f08 also passes all four jobs in both matrices: PR run 37352073064 and push run 37352065531. The PR is ready for review and main merge as a preview.
Update VERSION/catalog/current examples to 2.0.0-preview.4 and document test execution, migration and publication evidence. Historical v1/preview records remain intact. This prepares the next real-project trial; independent IDE adoption and actual organizational integrations remain separate acceptance. Main merge and stable release are separate actions.
