Summary

  • socket.io still resolved engine.io 6.6.4, socket.io-parser 4.2.6, and proxy-addr 2.0.7. those ranges allow the patched releases, so the lockfile now has 6.6.11, 4.2.7, and 2.0.8.
  • socket.io-adapter pins ws ~8.17.1, which is still in the memory-exhaustion range. override ws to 8.21.3, which is what engine.io 6.6.11 already uses.

Issue

braces (DLOOP-8532) is still 3.0.3. that is the latest release, and the only audit suggestion is downgrading nodemon to 1.14.10, so it is not in this PR.

Test plan

  • npm audit no longer reports ws, engine.io, socket.io-parser, or proxy-addr
  • npm run build

…xy-addr

socket.io-adapter still pins ws ~8.17.1, which is inside the DoS range, so ws is overridden to 8.21.3.
