Tai Van

Industrial automation engineer and founder of Vanguard Systems, based in Le Mont-sur-Lausanne, Switzerland.

I work on automation, energy monitoring and technical projects for industrial sites. My background includes more than 10 years in pharmaceutical and manufacturing environments in French-speaking Switzerland and the Basel area.

Industrial engineering

  • Automation and commissioning: PLC/SCADA programming, batch processes, migrations and technical troubleshooting. Siemens PCS 7 / TIA Portal and Rockwell ControlLogix / FactoryTalk / PlantPAx.
  • Energy and maintenance: energy audits, metering, utilities monitoring and maintenance planning.
  • Regulated environments: GMP automation, GAMP 5, ISA-88 batch and qualification work from FAT/SAT through IQ/OQ/PQ.
  • OT cybersecurity: industrial network segmentation, access management and system hardening.

Software and applied AI

I also develop software tools and explore AI agent workflows.

VanOffice is a local development studio powered by Codex or Claude Code. It takes a brief through implementation, QA and corrections, shows agent activity in a pixel-art office and village, and exports the generated files with their reports. Built with Python and vanilla JavaScript.
