Preserve extension read context and deterministic SDK verification - #1574
Active extension metadata can now be selected by SDK and CLI get/list/search without fetching the complete item. Projection validation uses the active field registry, preserves typed values and valid recovery selectors, and remains isolated when extensions are disabled. Ordinary settings reads also preserve missing optional schema files; explicit initialization retains schema repair, and migration validation retains its typed missing-definition refusal.
Verification fixes accompany those read primitives: intentional Sentry fixtures await telemetry producers before cleanup and assert event delivery/queue drainage; the Windows MCP task test uses a bounded elapsed-time state wait with a controlled slow-operation regression. The delivery also adopts eligible ESLint 10.13.0 and declares the latest external pm-changelog command in the host SDK grammar inventory. Changelog generation remains owned by pm-changelog 2026.10.24.
Direct scope includes all six PM implementation items below: extension projections, pure schema reads, telemetry fixture lifetime, external-package command grammar, the Windows MCP task wait, and exact ESLint adoption. These verification and package-integration fixes are required for this grouped delivery. Review also re-arms the existing release-health reminder for October 25 at 06:00 UTC through PM.
pm-eslint1013: eligible lint dependency update; the remaining cooldown/migration queue stays open and unclaimed.
Validation: all 14 hosted platform legs pass, including the affected Ubuntu 22 and Windows 24 shards. The merged source suite passes 859 files / 11,197 tests and the exact 100/100/100/100 coverage gate (coverage job). All six linked PM tests, SDK/contracts, graph/history integrity, bounded mutation, dependency/security and packed npm/npx/bunx checks pass. The settled transport benchmark passes unchanged. Three missing PM relationships found by the earlier static run are now recorded; the final required checks validate this closed-tracker/changelog head. The initial PR head passes every required check. Review fixes pin the manifest/importer exactly and replace generated test-source interpolation with a literal fixture, with focused tests, lint, types, frozen-lockfile policy, graph/history and terminal evidence checks passing. Final required checks and re-review validate the revised head. Original failed attempts remain recorded, with no relaxed gates.
Today's existing daily release is independently verified through npm/Bun installed sessions, npx/bunx and MCP acceptance. The one-release-per-UTC-day guard skips its existing immutable tag, so that published artifact predates these changes. Historical rolling release/nightly reliability remains separate from current-head verification.
Include active registerItemFields declarations in get, list and search projection validation using the existing canonical field registry. Preserve declared value types and valid custom selectors in recovery while keeping disabled registrations isolated.
Stop optional schema scaffolding during settings reads. Keep in-memory defaults, file-backed cache invalidation and explicit init repair, with regression coverage for missing workflow files and refused reads.
Bind intentional Sentry fixture telemetry to foreground completion and assert start/finish delivery plus physical queue drainage before owned-root cleanup. Adopt the release-age eligible ESLint 10.13.0 and latest external pm-changelog contribution inventory.
Track implementation, negative controls and verification under pm-gh1571, pm-gh1568, pm-gh1573 and pm-wb25c1; retain separate publication and historical reliability evidence.
Handle an absent optional migration schema snapshot in memory so an unknown custom definition retains its typed refusal without recreating the file.
Update config, telemetry identity and transaction preview controls to preserve unrelated schema absence while retaining their history, consent, identity and migration assertions. Keep read-context regressions under read-output to respect directory density, and fold package guidance into the existing documentation budget.
The affected seven-suite regression selection passes 231 tests. Preserve the initial broad-run failures, build-lease contention and corrected negative-control evidence in the canonical PM owners.
Declare the latest installed package's changelog contracts route as package-owned in the SDK destination and positional census. Extend the existing published-package contract regression and regenerate the SDK contract fixture without changing changelog generation logic.
Replace the Windows-sensitive MCP task test's fixed attempt count with a bounded elapsed-time condition wait. Retain a controlled one-second operation delay that fails the old helper and preserve all input-required, resume, completion, protocol-error and cleanup assertions.
Keep eligible ESLint adoption, package inventory alignment and the new Windows recurrence under canonical PM lineage. Preserve unsuccessful broad-run, benchmark and original hosted receipts instead of weakening any gate.
Record structured closure evidence and release all six implementation claims after the 14-leg hosted platform matrix, 11,197 passing tests and exact full-source 100/100/100/100 coverage.
Retain negative controls, typed lineage, all linked test results, terminal defect evidence, public SDK and package acceptance, independent publication/observability proof, and both unsuccessful and settled performance receipts. Keep deferred dependency and historical reliability owners open and unclaimed.
Regenerate CHANGELOG.md with external pm-changelog 2026.10.24, classifying the eligible dependency update as Changed and the five fixes as Fixed. Include the closed tracker and generated changelog in the reviewed delivery.
Read projections now support fields registered by active extensions across get, list, and search, including typed values. Unknown or disabled fields remain unavailable.
Bug Fixes
Read-only settings and workflow commands no longer recreate missing optional schema files. Explicit initialization can still scaffold them.
Schema migration now handles missing schema definitions without creating the missing input file.
Improved reliability of Windows task-state checks.
This pull request updates SDK projection and settings-read behavior, adjusts integration and unit tests, updates the changelog command contract, and adopts ESLint 10.13.0. It also records verification outcomes and release information.

Get, list, and search include active extension-registered fields when validating projections. Integration tests cover typed values, selectors, recovery details, and disabled extensions. Documentation describes the supported selectors.
The test replaces capped polling with a 10-second condition wait that polls every 25 milliseconds. It adds a one-second delay to the mocked validation operation.
The managed-extension inventory and package-owned grammar census include changelog contracts. The fixture and test record its empty positional signature.

Enabled typed projections for metadata fields registered by active extensions across SDK, CLI, and search read surfaces.
Extend projection validation with the active extension field registry.
Preserve declared values and selector spelling in get/list/search results, including recovery suggestions.
Exclude disabled-extension fields and add integration coverage for scalar, collection, optional, and unknown fields.
Make read-only commands and SDK reads resolve missing optional schema files from in-memory defaults without creating files, including when the schema directory is absent.
Return projected custom fields under the requested selector with their declared values and types, while preserving valid custom-field selectors in error recovery and excluding fields from disabled extensions.
Investigate and resolve the cause of the scheduled Ubuntu / Node 22 shard 2/2 validation failure so the affected validation can pass.

Keep the projection regression's extension source literal instead of building
JavaScript through JSON interpolation. This removes CodeQL's construction
finding while preserving every typed projection and registration assertion.
Pin ESLint 10.13.0 in both the manifest and lockfile importer to match the
accepted version without changing the resolved dependency graph. Re-arm the
standing release-health occurrence for October 25 through the PM CLI and
preserve the prior one-shot schedule in immutable history.
Record the full initial review inventory, optional reviewer availability,
qualified CodSpeed comparison limits, and the renewed closure evidence on
the existing canonical items. Both affected items are closed and released;
no PM work remains in progress. Latest pm-changelog regenerates the log.
Validation: both SDK read regression cases pass, zero-warning lint and all
typechecking projects pass, frozen lockfile policy passes 567 entries, and
terminal defect evidence, graph composition and record integrity pass.
