Superseding this with #352, retargeted to node:24-alpine rather than node:26.

node 26 is a Current release — it doesn't reach Active LTS until ~Oct 2026. For the prod runtime the right step is node:24 (the current Active LTS). #352 makes that bump and is verified locally with a full multi-stage docker build (CI's build-and-push is skipped on PRs): node v24.18.0 in the image, and the better-sqlite3 native module rebuilt + loads/runs on node 24.

Leaving this open as the tracker until #352 merges.
