Summary

Fixes #74

  • Delete the /ios-app page and its App Store badge image, which only that page used.
  • On the extension page, drop "use our app" for iPhone and point Safari on Mac and iPhone to the existing about:blank tutorial, which already has an iPhone section.

/ios-app will return a 404. There's no redirect, matching how the affiliate pages were removed.

Testing

  • jekyll build with the locked gems (Ruby 2.7 in Docker) succeeds. _site has no ios-app page and no links to it.
  • git diff --check passes.
  • Reviewed in 1 round by GPT-6 Astra (xhigh) across all four PRs. Its only finding, a 2022 status-page incident that says "mobile apps kept working", was rejected: it's a historical incident record, not a product mention.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Documentation
    • Safari download instructions for Mac and iPhone now point to the Safari tutorial; Chrome and Firefox links are unchanged.
    • Removed the separate iPhone app link and the iOS app documentation page, including its app, widgets, App Store, and account information.

Explanation

Issue #74 requires removal of customer-facing references to the discontinued iOS app. The reviewed changes delete _docs/30_features/45_ios-app.md and remove the iPhone app link from _docs/30_features/40_extension.md. The extension page now directs Safari users on Mac and iPhone to the existing Safari tutorial. The summary reports a successful build with no generated ios-app page or links to it. The issue's customer iOS app documentation is not changed.

Full details: Out of Scope Changes check

Explanation

The changes are limited to the obsolete iOS app page and the related extension download instruction. Deleting the App Store badge used only by that page is directly connected cleanup. The badge path is excluded from review, so its deletion cannot be independently verified, but the excluded file does not establish an unrelated change.
