What changed and why

brain/development/release.md

• The checklist and "Pending changesets" both cited main at ee89dec, and git cat-file -t ee89dec reports that commit does not exist in this history now. "Pending changesets" also said 85 changesets while the checklist said 73. ls .changeset, leaving out README.md and config.json, gives 73. Both now say 73 at e2e247e (2026-10-24).
• The Patches line still said "all nine clients" for request-via-operations-*, fetcher-empty-body-header-case and fetcher-failure-detail-*, and "six Effect clients" for effect-error-message-* and effect-abort-signal-*. Since e2e247e ("drop an unpublished client") there are eight clients and five Effect clients. The files on disk match: 8, 1 file naming 8 packages, 8, 5 and 5. It now says eight and five.

brain/plans/index.md

• It said the repository's open issues were 13 re-publishes private repository names in hq-stack.yml; the stack renderer needs fixing in sferarc/hq #15 and Dependency-upgrades shift brief for sferarc/openapi is stale #52. gh issue list --state open returns none: Dependency-upgrades shift brief for sferarc/openapi is stale #52 closed on 2026-10-21 and 13 re-publishes private repository names in hq-stack.yml; the stack renderer needs fixing in sferarc/hq #15 on 2026-10-22. The line now says there are no open issues and gives both close dates.

Checked and left alone

• brain/development/toolchain.md: matches mise.toml (Node 26.12.0, pnpm 12.14.0) and the package.json scripts.
• brain/architecture/pipeline.md: the matrix in update-openapi.yml, apps/openapi/src/lib/npm.ts and configs/knip.json each list the same eight clients. Scheduled Update OpenAPI runs are still skipped through 2026-10-23 (gh run list), which fits SPEC_UPDATES_ENABLED being unset.
• The other commits cited in the brain exist (8ff9fa1, f15416b). ae32849 is the changesets/action pin in release.yml, not a commit in this repository.
• The bump lists in release.md match the frontmatter of effect-v4, http-errors-as-api-error, bundle-openapi-utils, inline-effect-types and the six vercel-api-js spec update changesets.

No note was deleted. gh variable list was refused in this session, so RELEASE_ENABLED and SPEC_UPDATES_ENABLED were not checked again directly.

Checks

These are Markdown-only changes. Biome ignores Markdown (biome.json, and pnpm exec biome check brain reports the path as ignored), so no repository check covers them. The lefthook commit hooks passed. pnpm tsc, pnpm test and the full pnpm check were not run because no code changed.

What would show this is wrong

The counts are wrong if ls .changeset on main at e2e247e lists anything other than 73 changesets besides README.md and config.json. The plans line is wrong if an issue was opened after 2026-10-24.
