Summary

  • Upgrades golang.org/x/crypto from v0.38.0 to v0.52.0
  • Resolves CVE-2026-42508 / GHSA-5cgq-3rg8-m6cv (auth bypass via unenforced @revoked status on a CA SignatureKey)

x/crypto is an indirect dependency. No directly declared parent ships a patched version at its latest release (gin v1.12.0 still requires x/crypto v0.48.0), so the module requirement is raised directly in go.mod — no replace or override directives. The x/net, x/sync, x/sys, x/text and go directive bumps are transitive consequences resolved by go mod tidy.

go build ./..., go mod verify and go test ./... all pass.

Addresses CVE-2026-42508 / GHSA-5cgq-3rg8-m6cv: a revoked CA SignatureKey
was not checked for @Revoked status, allowing authentication bypass.

x/crypto is an indirect dependency; no directly declared parent ships a
patched version at its latest release (gin v1.12.0 still pulls x/crypto
v0.48.0), so the module requirement is raised directly. The x/net, x/sync,
x/sys, x/text and go directive bumps are transitive consequences of the
x/crypto upgrade resolved by go mod tidy.
