A distributed task execution platform built in Go with PostgreSQL as its durable source of truth. The project is designed to demonstrate task orchestration, worker coordination, concurrency control, failure recovery, and production-oriented observability without relying on a task-processing framework for the core behavior.
Phase 1 is in progress. The repository currently contains only the initial Go project bootstrap; task persistence, execution, and service processes will be added incrementally in later milestones.
Clients submit tasks through a REST API, which persists them to PostgreSQL. A coordinator discovers queued work and assigns it to workers, while task executors implement the behavior of supported task types. PostgreSQL remains the authoritative record of task state throughout the lifecycle.
