$ clone the repo
$ run 'yarn' to install node modules for server.
$ cd into 'web'.
$ run 'yarn' to install node modules for web.
$ cd back into root folder.
$ run 'yarn dev' to concurrently start the server and the application.
For development environment.

NOTE: You need to include your own OAuth Key and Secret from Github (developer settings) and add them to web/src/components/profile/ProfileGithub.js to enable the app to make calls to Github's api. Better yet, remove those env variables from the file and add them to a protected file to be safe.
