Promotes the PER-8053 config-merge work from
2.2.1-beta.2to stable2.2.1. Config is deep-merged into serializeDOM (per-call priority); includes the regression fix (#250) and is verified by the cross-SDK sanity sweep.Note: a pre-staged draft
v2.2.1release exists (created 2026-05-26, no git tag yet) — publish/replace it at release time.
