Supersedes #247 (thanks @DarthMDev, building on @rooklz's #104): one precompiled runtime now serves PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J, with installer and Retro Rewind support for all three. NTSC-K is left out for now.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Added support for Mario Kart Wii PAL, NTSC-U, and NTSC-J releases.
    • Installers and build tools now identify disc regions and select matching files automatically.
    • Retro-WFC payloads now use region-specific downloads, validation, and offline paths.
    • Added regional recompilation configurations, runtime address mapping, and Retro Rewind compatibility adjustments.
  • Bug Fixes

    • Improved validation of disc images, cached assets, payloads, and release identities.
    • Added region-aware NAND, title, video, and game-code handling.
    • Improved handling of unsupported or mismatched game assets.

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to a222d

The PR is mergeable with owner awareness of a conditional regional-call risk. If a regional build uses an exempt generic call, it may target the PAL address; no affected call was confirmed in the available build output.

🟡 Minor · Map the RequiresGenericDirectCall exemptions through… · TranslatedBuildShardEmitter.cs:692-701

translator/src/Translator.Core/Build/TranslatedBuildShardEmitter.cs:692-701
🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Map the RequiresGenericDirectCall exemptions through the selected region.

The emitter now builds NTSC-U and NTSC-J shards, but this switch still lists PAL addresses, for example 0x801A7424 (OSReceiveMessage). The real NTSC-U address of OSReceiveMessage is 0x801A7384. In NTSC builds, these calls therefore get lowered to MKW_STATIC_TRANSLATED_CALL. The runtime toggles for diagnostics and phase tracing then have no effect for these functions. A PAL address can also match an unrelated NTSC function by coincidence and force that function onto the slow generic path.

Map each PAL address through the GuestAddressTable for options.Region before the comparison. For example, build a HashSet<uint> once in Emit and pass it to LowerStableDirectCalls. If an address has no row in the table, add its function's PAL identity to the table generator.

validate that they match and reject mismatches before emitting shards, while
preserving the existing native index and output options.
