feat(editor): Allow users to adjust line and paragraph spacing #59
A user requested an option to reduce the vertical distance between lines so text can be written directly below the previous line, without excessive gaps.
Original feedback (German):
Hallo. Ich wollte fragen, ob es möglich ist, in Encly den Zeilenabstand einzustellen, sodass der Text direkt untereinander geschrieben werden kann. Falls noch nicht implementiert, wäre es ja vielleicht eine halbwegs gute Idee.
Proposed behavior
Add an easy-to-find Line spacing preference in the note editor's text/formatting settings.
Provide at least a Compact option (e.g. 1.0× line height) and a Default option that preserves today's appearance. An optional Comfortable preset can be added if it fits the UI.
Ensure users can avoid unwanted vertical gaps both between wrapped lines and between lines created by pressing Enter. Paragraph spacing/margins may need separate handling from line-height.
Apply the chosen spacing consistently while editing and viewing a note; do not alter the note text or introduce extra blank lines.
Preserve the chosen setting when reopening the note/app, using Encly's existing settings conventions.
Acceptance criteria
A user can select compact spacing, and consecutive lines/paragraphs appear directly beneath each other.
The current editor appearance remains the default for existing users unless they opt in.
Spacing is visually consistent in editing and read-only views.
The preference persists after closing and reopening the app.
No note content or formatting is lost when changing the setting.
