This is based on an analysis of the currently existing device modules (OpenScanNIDAQ, OpenScanNIFPGA, and BH_SPC), which are mostly correct under these rules (with OpenScanNIFPGA currently having some bugs). (Assisted by Claude Code; any errors are mine.)
