Detaching the WinModal aborts its XP poll, which resolved null and set the section to hidden while xpPolling stayed true, so a re-attached modal never polled again. Treat an abort as no verdict: leave the section as it was and clear xpPolling. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Confirming CodeRabbit's finding — I traced it and it is correct. I had reviewed this PR and missed it.
const updates = this.game.updatesSinceLastTick();

Needs a re-sync, and worth sequencing against #5759. #5734 and #5763 merged, so this branch conflicts with The sequencing point: #5759 also conflicts on Both are needed and they are independent fixes, so it is just an ordering question — but it is worth deciding which goes first rather than discovering it in a second three-way. WinModal.ts: kept the poll's AbortController in a local and the early return when it was aborted mid-poll, on top of main's updateXp, which now also preloads the Legend ceremony; an aborted poll returns before that. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

The Win update that starts the end-of-game poll is delivered once, so a poll aborted by a detach never ran again. Remember the abort and restart the poll from connectedCallback, or right away when the modal was already re-attached while the aborted poll wound down. The tests now go through the lifecycle instead of calling updateXp directly. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Problem
If the end-of-game panel was removed from the page while it was still fetching the game's XP, and then shown again later, its XP section stayed hidden and never tried to fetch again.
Removing the panel cancels the fetch. The cancelled fetch came back looking like "no XP to show", so the panel hid the section. It also kept a "fetch in progress" flag set, so when the panel came back it thought a fetch was still running and skipped starting a new one.
Fix
In
WinModal.updateXp, a cancelled fetch is no longer treated as an answer. When the fetch was cancelled because the panel was removed, the section is left as it was and the "fetch in progress" flag is cleared. The panel also remembers that the fetch was cut short, and when it is put back on the page (connectedCallback) it starts the fetch again. That retry is needed because the end-of-game update that starts the fetch only arrives once, so nothing else would start it. If the panel is put back before the cancelled fetch has finished winding down (for example, moved in the page), the fetch restarts as soon as it has.Testing
