feat(replay): "Continue game from here" in Replay Viewer (fixes #5647) - #5650

…tView The PlayerUpdate/UnitUpdate to PlayerState/PlayerStatic/UnitState conversions lived inside PlayerView and UnitView, which pull in DOM and settings code. They're now plain functions in view/EntityState.ts, so the replay encoder can run them in a worker and get the same records the live client builds. Also adds playerTypeFromEnum, and moves TRAIL_TYPES from GameView to render/types/UnitType.ts. GameView's merge of the packed player stats and attack troop counts, and its embargo PlayerID to smallID translation, move there too (applyPackedPlayerStats, applyPackedAttackTroops, embargoSmallIDs). The attack helper can copy a patched attack instead of changing it, for a caller that keeps earlier states. No behaviour change.

WebGLFrameBuilder wrote a player's palette slot inline (colours, pattern and the six effect blocks) together with the catalog lookup. That code now lives in render/gl/utils/PlayerPalette.ts so the replay viewer can fill the same textures the same way. PALETTE_SIZE comes from ColorUtils instead of a second copy of 4096, and the compile-time checks on the effect block order moved with it. - writePlayerEffects writes all six effect blocks of a player and sets or clears their spiral nuke trail. WebGLFrameBuilder.syncPlayerEffects passes it a lookup that knows the effect editor's overrides. - PlayerView.computeColors picks the territory and border colours with resolvePlayerColors (view/PlayerColors.ts), a pure function. One behaviour change: computeColors used to fill a pattern's missing colour palette in on the shared cosmetics object (colorPalette ??= theme colours). After a theme change, such as turning on the colour-blind palette, those players kept the first theme's colours. The palette is now worked out each time and the cosmetics are left alone.
GameView moved units along motion plans (transport and trade ships, nukes, trains) with about 230 lines of private code: the grid and train plan maps, the train's used-tile ring buffer, and the planned unit id cache. That now lives in view/MotionPlanResolver.ts, so the replay encoder can resolve positions with the same code instead of a copy. The resolver moves units through a small interface (tileOf, move, rest). GameView's moves change its UnitViews in place and update the unit grid, as before. motionPlans() and motionPlannedUnitIds() read from the resolver. No behaviour change.
Adds src/replay/codec, a binary encoding of finished games that can jump to any tick without re-simulating from the start. It follows ldlework's replay codec (keyframes and deltas in gzipped chunks, a field table for entities, event lists next to the frames), rewritten against the current core. - Frames hold what the renderer draws: tiles, players, units, names and the per-tick HUD updates. FrameNormalizer builds them from GameUpdateViewData the same way GameView does, including the partial PlayerUpdate diffs and the packed player/attack channels. - Units moved by motion plans get their position resolved every tick, so the reader never has to replay plans. - Every 100 frames starts a new chunk with a keyframe. Deltas store counts, ids and positions as varints of small differences, which gzip compresses much better than fixed-width fields. An attack whose troop count is the only change is written as its index in the list before plus the change, not in full. - Every GameUpdateType and GameUpdateViewData field has to be routed, so adding a new one won't compile until replays handle it. - StreamingEncoder takes one tick at a time. takeAppend() hands out what it added since the last call. A game's base (the header fields that never change) and every append are the whole replay, so a game can be watched while it's still being processed. - ReplayReader does seek/next, starting from a game's base and growing with appends. Decoding is synchronous. Where gunzip is async (the browser), a chunk is loaded first with load(). - Nuke impacts are stored split into land and water tiles, as they are after that tick, since a nukeable map layer only loses tiles of its own placement and a later water nuke can turn land into water. - PackedEvents writes the two big event lists (nuke impacts, which list every tile in a blast, and dead units) as varints, for keeping a replay gzipped. As plain objects they were about a quarter of a stored replay. - Stepping onto a keyframe lists the tiles that changed since the frame before, so the renderer doesn't re-upload the whole map every chunk. Frames also carry the fallout tile count. There's no file layout. A replay never leaves the browser that made it, and is stored there nearly as it is held in memory, with only the two big event lists packed. REPLAY_VERSION covers the frame and packed event encoding and is part of the store key. A 26 minute, 25 player game is stored in about 24 MB, and seeks take about 20 ms (35 ms at the 95th percentile).
processGameRecord (src/replay/processor) turns an archived game record into a replay. It re-runs the game with the core, set up the same way a client watching the record would be (including the server's wire blanking, which team assignment depends on), and feeds every tick to the encoder. The core is only deterministic within a build, so every hash the live clients agreed on is checked as the game runs. The first mismatch stops processing instead of producing a replay of some other game. Hashes only come every few turns, so frames are handed out once a later hash has matched: whatever was handed out before a mismatch is the game that was played. So a game can be watched while it's still being processed, it hands over the header fields that never change first, then the frames as appends: the first after one chunk, then every few seconds, and the rest after the last tick. The base and the appends are the whole replay.
The pieces that turn a replay into frames for the game's renderer and HUD (src/client/replay). The viewer that uses them comes in the next commit. - ReplayPlayback: play, pause, speed and seek. Small forward jumps play through frame by frame so trails and effects stay right, bigger ones seek. Each step loads its chunk first, and the next chunk is inflated ahead. It opens a stored replay, or a game that's still being processed from its base and first append. append() adds frames, and playback waits at the end for more instead of stopping. data() gives the whole replay, for storing it. - ReplayFrameBuilder: builds FrameData from decoded frames using the renderer's existing derive helpers, trails and railroad cache. A seek rebuilds the rail network from its events, skipping the ticks where nothing happens (RailroadCache.animating), so seeking back late in a long game doesn't step through every tick. - ReplayGameAdapter: exposes the replay through the parts of GameView the HUD reads, so the leaderboard, hover card and event feed work unchanged. Land and fallout counts follow the game like GameMap's, so territory shares stay right after nukes. - ReplayPalette / ReplayEffects: player colours, patterns, skins and trail effects from the cosmetics in the game start info. - ReplayTerrain: terrain changed by water nukes, and the land it sank. - ReplayCamera: pan and zoom, pinch-to-zoom on touch (CameraGestures), and gliding to a point like the game's GoToPlayerEvent.
Watching a finished game now opens the replay viewer (#replay-viewer=<gameID>). It can seek, and starts playing while the game is still being processed. - The viewer fetches the game record and runs processGameRecord in a worker. The first frames show up after about a second. The timeline covers the whole game from the start, the part that isn't processed yet is greyed out, and seeking into it snaps back. - Records only replay on the build that played them, so a game from another build redirects to that build's versioned shell (openfrontio#4934). A desync before any frames shows an error and offers the old replay instead. One after playback started keeps what was processed watchable, with a banner saying how much of the game that is. - Finished replays are cached in IndexedDB (256 MB, least recently watched evicted first), so watching again opens instantly. The viewer stores the base and appends it already holds, so the worker never builds or sends the whole replay. The chunks are already gzipped, and the nuke impacts and dead units are packed and gzipped too. They're kept per build and format version, and one that fails to load is dropped and the game processed again. Other builds' replays are dropped on the main site, where nothing reads them again, but kept on replay.<domain>, which every build's shell shares. If storage isn't available the game just gets processed again. Opening it gives up after 3 s, since a version upgrade waits for every other tab, and a tab closes it when a newer build wants to upgrade. - JoinLobbyModal opens the viewer and passes along the record it already fetched. "Watch the old replay instead" goes back to the client-side replay for that game for the rest of the tab. - Uses the game's own renderer and HUD (leaderboard, hover card, event feed, settings menu). Clicking a player in the leaderboard follows them and moves the camera there. ReplayAppearance keeps the players' look in sync with the graphics settings. - Nuke damage on the map's decoration layers is replayed too: marked frame by frame, and rebuilt from every impact up to the frame on a seek, so seeking back restores the layer. MapRenderer now re-applies that damage when the layer images arrive late. - The viewer replaces the menu, so a hash or history change while it's open (Back, an edited URL) leaves it like leaving a game: another replay reloads into its viewer, anything else goes home. Viewers never stack. Nothing runs on the server. Processing every game up front isn't realistic (10k+ games a day), and each build is already served through its versioned shell, so replays are made on demand in the player's browser. In a dev build a 26 minute, 25 player game showed its first frames after 0.9 s and finished in about 70 s, with every hash matching. docs/Replays.md covers the design and how to try it locally, with the record tools in scripts/replay.

- Around line 739-773: Update takeoverPlayer to migrate the target player's
existing StatsImpl entry from the old client ID to localClientID before
setPlayerInfo, preserving its recorded stats for conquerPlayer and later
lookups; add a core test verifying stats remain available under the new ID after
takeover.
