Summary

OneDev build #4 (checks on main) failed: mise downloads every tool from GitHub releases on each run, and anonymous GitHub API calls are limited to 60/hour per IP (about 15 calls per run: release lookup + attestation check per tool).

  • SetupCacheStep mise-tools, keyed on the checksum of .mise.toml, caches MISE_DATA_DIR. Tools are downloaded only when a version changes.
  • Checkout moves to src/, the cache lives in mise/ next to it, so gitleaks dir . does not scan cached binaries.
  • mise attestation checks stay on.

tod build check-spec: valid, unchanged.

Not yet tested on OneDev

Test runs #6 and #7 still hit the limit (it had not reset yet, my earlier test runs used it up), so the cache could not fill. After the reset: first run fills the cache, second run must show no GitHub calls.

Cache MISE_DATA_DIR with SetupCacheStep, keyed on the .mise.toml checksum:
tools are downloaded only when a version changes. Checkout moves to src/
so gitleaks does not scan the cache.
