## Running Tests

This project uses Jest for its test suite. Because the tests interact with shared state in a single loaded native C++ addon instance, they must be executed sequentially to prevent state conflicts or fatal crashes.

Always run the tests using the provided npm script, which enforces the required `--runInBand` flag:

```sh
npm test

```

Do not run `jest` directly or concurrently without this flag, as Jest's default parallel execution will cause the test suite to fail.
