I reviewed this Kotlin patch bump and didn't find any bugs. The repo's CODEOWNERS rule covers every path, so a code owner should still take a quick look.

What was reviewed:

  • build-logic/build.gradle.kts: only kotlin("jvm") changes, from 2.1.20 to 2.1.21. The JVM 17 target, the publish plugin dependency and the plugin registration are unchanged.
  • 2.1.21 is a bug-fix release, and it supports the Gradle 8.5 wrapper this repo uses.
  • The root build.gradle still uses kotlin_version = '2.1.20', so build-logic and the root build will now use different Kotlin patch versions. AGENTS.md calls Kotlin version mismatches between the root build, build-logic and kits a known trap. Consider bumping the root build to match, or confirm the split is intended.

This is a one-line Dependabot change to the Kotlin JVM plugin version in the build-logic included build, which supplies the publish convention plugin that every publishable module applies. It does not touch any security-sensitive surface, SDK source, public API or CI configuration. The change itself is trivial.
