I'm a senior software engineer based in Germany. Most of my professional work is backend engineering, but I like understanding how an entire system fits together—from hardware and firmware to networking, services, interfaces, and the tooling around them.
I work with Elixir/Phoenix, Rust, Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Docker, Linux, and CI/CD, with the occasional bit of frontend work.
- Backend systems and infrastructure
- Developer tools, observability, and deployment platforms
- Programming languages, compilers, interpreters, and emulators
- Embedded hardware and projects that cross software/hardware boundaries
Rust gives me performance and low-level control with the safety and ergonomics of a modern language. Elixir and OTP make it natural to build backend services from small, isolated processes with explicit supervision.
Outside work, I tend to follow whatever makes me think, "I wonder how hard it would be to..." Recent rabbit holes include embedded hardware, language implementations, emulators, and building a small autograd engine in C.
I'm available for remote-friendly work in European time zones, especially on backend systems, developer tools, observability products, deployment platforms, or other products where the technical details are part of the product.
