MCP editor setup could save a project-resolved launcher, replace linked configuration files, and accept invalid command shapes. Setup now pins the current executable for both the editor and delegated tools, requires an absolute home directory, rejects linked configuration files, and parses each MCP subcommand through clap with usage exit codes.
Validation: workspace build, 6,573 workspace tests, 5,226 serial CLI unit tests, 116 CLI integration tests, 24 MCP workflows, workspace all-target clippy, and formatting passed. Regression tests reproduced the failures before the fixes. Daybreak reviewed the final modified surface.
