Implementation Details
Accessibility Hardening (WCAG 2.2 Level AA):
Skip to Content Link: Added top-level keyboard navigation link in AppShell targeting #main-content.
Focus Visible Outlines: Enforced high-visibility dual-contrast :focus-visible outlines in globals.css across both light and dark themes.
Accessible Form Inputs: Enhanced Input primitive with automatic aria-invalid binding and error association.
Accessible Loading Buttons: Enhanced Button primitive with automatic aria-busy announcements.
Keyboard-Scrollable Tables: Enhanced Table primitive with role="region", aria-label="Scrollable data table", and tabIndex={0} for accessible horizontal scrolling.
Responsive Dialogs: Hardened DialogContent with w-[calc(100vw-2rem)], max-h-[85vh], and overflow-y-auto preventing viewport clipping on mobile screens.
Mobile Navigation Drawer: Added role="dialog", aria-modal="true", accessible labels, and Escape key listener.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
Added unit tests for contrast ratios, responsive breakpoints, panel collapse rules, and metadata sanitization (apps/web/tests/unit/accessibility_and_responsive.test.ts).
Added component tests verifying skip navigation, form aria-invalid, button aria-busy, keyboard table scrolling, and responsive dialog bounds (apps/web/tests/component/accessibility_and_responsive.test.tsx).
Phase 7 Completion Certification:
Independent verification of all six Phase 7 milestones (7.1 through 7.6).
Documented acceptance evidence in docs/audit/PHASE_7_6_FRONTEND_ACCEPTANCE.md and docs/audit/PHASE_7_COMPLETION.md.

Merge Risk: Moderate · up to bbd5f
Search completeness, narrow-screen table access, keyboard and form accessibility, and the documented frontend test gate still need resolution or explicit acceptance before merge.
Security architecture risk: Low · up to 164f0
The new relationship view accepts a URL-controlled identifier without safely encoding it into API requests, and overlapping loads can display metadata from an earlier workspace or schema. Existing server-side authentication, workspace permissions, and object ownership checks limit the demonstrated exposure; unauthorized cross-workspace access is not established.
Retained concerns
Low · security · observed: The new schema-relationship request interpolates an externally supplied schemaId directly into the API path. A crafted relationship-view URL can therefore change path segments instead of identifying exactly one schema. Requests retain the user's session authority; this establishes request-target manipulation, not filesystem traversal or a demonstrated authorization bypass.
Low · security · inferred: The new relationship loader commits graph, layout, error, and loading state without checking that its workspace and schema still own the active view. Older loads can overwrite newer results after workspace or schema changes. This weakens client-side workspace-context integrity and can display previously authorized metadata under a different context; it does not demonstrate disclosure to an unauthorized user.
Security review details
Security Blast Radius
inferred — The demonstrated manipulation affects GET request paths at the configured API origin using the current user's session and supplied workspace header. The inspected relationship endpoint still requires authorized workspace access. Arbitrary-host requests, filesystem access, privileged writes, and unauthorized tenant access are not established.
Security Findings and Attack Paths
observed — The retained path-traversal finding concerns a newly introduced flow: URL query schemaId becomes selectedSchemaId and reaches an unencoded API path. Encoding used when the UI generates navigation links does not constrain externally supplied query strings. Server authorization limits the demonstrated impact but does not prevent path manipulation.
Trust Boundaries and Controls
observed — The inspected backend requires a valid active session, rejects unavailable database context, validates workspace identity, and checks active workspace membership plus SCHEMA_READ permission. Relationship graphs are retrieved through workspace-and-schema keyed lookup. These are substantive countercontrols to an inferred cross-workspace authorization bypass.
Resilience and Maintainability Implications
inferred — Repeated loads and workspace or schema changes can interleave graph retrieval, optional enrichment, and state commits. Loading and error rendering provide partial containment, but graph status renders independently and stale completions remain able to replace active-view data. The resulting risk is client context confusion, not proven server-side tenant leakage.
Hardening Proposals
proposed — Enforce single-segment identifier handling consistently at API URL construction. Bind relationship loads and displayed results to a workspace, schema, and request generation; invalidate prior results on context changes and prevent obsolete success, error, or completion handlers from updating the active view.

The drawer is never opened, and the test makes no assertion after fireEvent.keyDown. The test passes even if the listener is deleted. The docs cite it as proof that Escape closes the drawer.
Click the "Open mobile navigation menu" button. Press Escape. Assert that the drawer is closed, for example that the overlay is gone or the drawer is inert.

These tests exercise helpers defined inside the tests, not product code.
getBreakpoint, shouldCollapseInspectorPanels and sanitizeForAnnouncement exist only inside the test file. They test themselves. A regression in the app code cannot fail them. PR_PHASE_7_6_BODY.md cites them as coverage for responsive breakpoints, panel collapse rules and metadata sanitization.
Move these helpers into src/lib and import them. Or remove them and drop the matching coverage claims.

Each Table gets the same landmark name and a tab stop.
Every table renders role="region", aria-label="Scrollable data table" and tabIndex={0}. This happens whether or not the table overflows. A page with several tables gets duplicate landmark names and extra tab stops. The label is also not customizable.
Accept an optional aria-label prop that describes the table. Add the tab stop and region role only when the content overflows.

without the extra landmark or tab stop.

Cycle and ordering panels show raw table IDs.
CycleAnalysisPanel and ExecutionOrderingPanel render table_ids values directly. TransitiveReachabilityPanel treats the same values as opaque IDs and maps them through nodeMap. With real backend IDs, users see identifiers instead of table names.
Their onSelectTable handler only calls setSelectedTableId. It changes the "Inspect Focused Table" link and gives no other feedback.
Pass a name resolver built from relationships.nodes to both panels. Render namespace.name. Either navigate to the table or add visible selection feedback.

Use a real button inside each row for the row action.
Each <tr> has onClick, tabIndex={0} and an explicit role="row". The role="row" is redundant on a <tr>. It also tells assistive technology that the element is a row, not an activatable control. Screen-reader users get no cue that Enter or Space selects the entry.
Put a <button type="button"> in the first cell. Give the button the onClick and the aria-label. Remove tabIndex and role from the <tr>. The row click can remain as a mouse convenience.

These tests do not exercise application code.
The search tests filter an array defined inside the test. They do not call SchemaSearchStudio or any shared search helper. The tests pass even if the real search logic is broken.
The same problem exists in the other suites. They assert properties of hard-coded fixtures: creation_order against its own literal, drop_order against the reverse of that literal, check.raw_expression against the same string, and the InspectorObject literals. The only checks the compiler enforces are the fixture types.
These tests give false coverage for the claims in the Phase 7.5 acceptance documents. Extract the matching, ordering, and filtering logic into pure functions and test those. Alternatively, move these cases to component tests that render the real studios.

lines 234 - 260:
Replace the fixture-only assertions in the Phase 7.5 tests with tests that
exercise application behavior: extract and test the real search, ordering, and
filtering logic as pure functions, or render the relevant studios in component
tests. Ensure coverage also uses actual logic for `creation_order`,
`drop_order`, `check.raw_expression`, and `InspectorObject` rather than
validating hard-coded fixtures against themselves.
Replace the <Link><Button> nesting with Button asChild.
Each Link renders an <a> that contains a <button>. This is invalid HTML because it nests interactive content. Screen readers can announce two controls for each action. Keyboard users can also hit two tab stops. This conflicts with the accessibility goals of this PR.
The Button component already supports asChild through Slot. Use it so the Link becomes the single interactive element. Apply the same change to all three actions.

This assertion uses ordinary SQL text. It cannot detect a change that renders a check expression as HTML. The related unit test also compares fixture text without rendering the component. Add a hostile expression to this component test and assert that it remains text and creates no executable element. The acceptance audit marks this check as passed. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

ER node cards never receive column data.
listTables returns TableSummaryItem. That type has column_count but no columns field (api-client.ts lines 179-187). The local Array<{ columns?: any[] }> type hides this mismatch.
matched?.columns is therefore always undefined, and columns is always []. Downstream effects:
Every TableNode shows "0 cols" and no rows.
No PK/FK markers appear. has_primary_key is always false.
The column-name search at lines 241-246 never matches.
AccessibleGraphTable shows "None" for every primary key.
listTables also caps at limit: 100, so larger schemas lose enrichment even if the field existed.
Fetch column data from an endpoint that returns it. Use getTableDetail per node with bounded concurrency, or add the columns to the relationships response. Replace any[] with a typed shape so the compiler catches this.

apps/web/src/components/er-diagram/layout.ts:208-245 Major · Functional Correctness · Heavy lift
Rank assignment does not compute longest-path ranks.
A node is never re-queued after its rank increases, because of the !visited.has(v) check. Its descendants keep stale ranks.
Example: edges A→B, A→C, C→B, B→D. B is visited at rank 1 before C raises it to 2. D stays at rank 2, so B and D share a column. An edge then renders within a single rank, or backwards. Diamond-shaped FK patterns are common.
queue.includes and queue.shift also make the loop O(n²).
The docs (ER_LAYOUT_ALGORITHMS.md) describe longest-path ranking. The determinism test checks only that two runs agree, so it does not catch this.
Use bounded relaxation or Kahn's algorithm. Cap ranks at nodes.length - 1 so cycles terminate. Add a diamond-graph test that asserts rank(parent) > rank(child).
Proposed fix (relaxation sketch)
- const ranks = new Map<string, number>();- const queue: string[] = [];- ... (BFS seeding and loop)+ const ranks = new Map<string, number>();+ nodes.forEach((n) => ranks.set(n.id, 0));+ const maxRank = nodes.length - 1;+ const orderedIds = nodes.map((n) => n.id).sort();+ for (let pass = 0; pass < nodes.length; pass++) {+ let changed = false;+ for (const u of orderedIds) {+ for (const v of adj.get(u) ?? []) {+ const next = Math.min(ranks.get(u)! + 1, maxRank);+ if (next > ranks.get(v)!) {+ ranks.set(v, next);+ changed = true;+ }+ }+ }+ if (!changed) break;+ }

Wire completeness metadata before documenting it.
The relationship page renders GraphStatus without completeness or collectionTimestamp, while GraphStatus defaults the badge to complete. Partial or restricted schemas therefore appear complete, and no collection timestamp appears. This can cause users to trust an incomplete graph.

Update the three actions in the TableMetadataHeader component to use Button with
asChild wrapping each Link, making the Link the single interactive element.
Preserve each action’s href, variant, size, className, icon, and label.
Add the XSS regression case claimed by the acceptance audit.
This assertion uses ordinary SQL text. It cannot detect a change that renders a check expression as HTML. The related unit test also compares fixture text without rendering the component. Add a hostile expression to this component test and assert that it remains text and creates no executable element. The acceptance audit marks this check as passed. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

the corresponding src/lib implementations, or remove the self-testing cases and

Review comments at @apps/web/tests/unit/inspector_and_dependencies.test.ts:
- Around line 234-260: Replace the fixture-only assertions in the Phase 7.5
tests with tests that exercise application behavior: extract and test the real
search, ordering, and filtering logic as pure functions, or render the relevant
studios in component tests. Ensure coverage also uses actual logic for
`creation_order`, `drop_order`, `check.raw_expression`, and `InspectorObject`
rather than validating hard-coded fixtures against themselves.
