What distinguished modOS from other webOS's?

modOS is completely modular to make open-source feel more open. In modOS, the HTML is truly only the canvas, and the JS is the paint for your canvas! You can make your own, distribute, or recieve an app, bar, or even an execution logic, and it will work just like that! modOS index.html is not ment to be changed. It is there for compatibality between different applications.

modOS is taking its first baby steps! But those are some BIG baby steps.

• Desktop to make it easier for you to open apps.
• Run application for special commands and development.
• Release Note application for updated news of your modOS.
• Theme Song application for you to enjoy.
• Date and weather api.
• Hidden applications.

Commands(Basic):

• showhidden() and hidehidden() - Show or hide hidden applications. Application visibility is set via apps.json's [app].visibility. Application visibility controlled by exec.js.
• exec(name, icon) - Execute applications manually. Allows for the creation of new applications. Scans apps.json for content of named app, applies it if found. Overrides given icon with database icon to maintain developer creativity.
