Summary

  • Add .github/dependabot.yml with weekly, per-ecosystem grouped updates for GitHub Actions, Maven (root), Gradle (intellij-plugin) and npm (vscode-extension).
  • Update all actions in ci.yml and release.yml to their latest releases and pin them to full commit SHAs with a # vX.Y.Z comment, so Dependabot keeps both the SHA and the comment current.
  • Add permissions: contents: read to the CI workflow (release already declares contents: write).
Action Before After
actions/checkout v4 v7.0.1
actions/setup-java v4 v6.0.1
actions/setup-node v4 v7.1.0
actions/upload-artifact v4 v7.0.2
actions/download-artifact v4 v8.0.2
actions/github-script v7 v9.0.0

Each SHA was resolved from the release tag via the GitHub API and verified to point at the tagged commit.

Test plan

  • CI passes on this PR with the new action versions
  • After merge, Dependabot opens its first grouped PRs

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Dependabot now checks GitHub Actions, Maven, Gradle (IntelliJ plugin)
and npm (VS Code extension) weekly, with updates grouped per ecosystem.

All actions in the CI and release workflows are updated to their latest
releases and pinned to full commit SHAs with a version comment, so
Dependabot can keep them current. CI now runs with read-only contents
permission.
