GERDA

The German Election Database, with Vincent Heddesheimer, Andreas Wiedemann, and Florian Sichart. It includes election results for federal, state, county, European Parliament, mayoral, and municipal elections. Coverage begins in 1953 and runs through 2025, depending on the election level.

Other data and projects

  • CLARA: A chapter-year panel of 2,635 local German party organizations, including leadership, issue emphasis, and 237,399 archived news articles from 2015–2025. Documentation.
  • Feedback Pipeline: A multi-agent tool for reviewing quantitative social science papers.
  • PolSci Open Bench: A comparison of local open-weight LLMs and commercial models on social science text-classification tasks.
  • German Broadband Data: Municipality-level broadband coverage in Germany, 2005–2021, using 2021 borders. Documentation gaps and a provider change in 2015 may affect accuracy and comparability over time.
