At the app's 1100×760 window, a Builder result got a 684×380 px pane and every cell was break-all, so addresses split mid-word (alice@exampl / e.com), a user's name rendered as a tall ribbon of Python repr ({'givenName': …}) and two rows filled the pane.

  • Height: no footer on the Builder and the title moves into the search row; the working pane goes from 380 to ~500 px.
  • Width: Hide list (#list-toggle, aria-expanded/aria-controls) hides the command list so a result gets the full 1052 px; remembered in localStorage as a per-viewer convenience (the page works without it).
  • Cells: one line (truncate whitespace-nowrap max-w-[24rem]), the whole value in the title, and a click expands a cut-off value in place (kept at 24rem wide so it reads as a paragraph, not a ribbon).
  • Values: a new cell filter shows lists joined, a name dict as the name (fullName, else given + family), other dicts as key: value · …. The CSV export keeps raw values; filtering is unchanged.
  • ROADMAP: the mixed-ownership folder move into a shared drive, recorded as a future Builder recipe.

How it was verified

  • .venv/bin/python -m pytest -q passes (1604 passed); new tests for cell, the page structure and the result cells (reverting the filter fails them)
  • make lint is clean; make a11y passes (axe 0, Chrome at 1100×760 over /builder)
  • Measured in the mock preview at 1100×760: pane 684×380 → 1052×498 with the list hidden; rows 100+ px → 25 px; an expanded long value 384×137 px
  • docs/guide.md and the catalog-builder runbook say what's new

No GAM command, route or write path changes.

At 1100x760 a result had a 684x380 pane and cells that broke anywhere,
so addresses split mid-word and a name became a tall ribbon. The Builder
drops the footer and puts its title in the search row (the pane gains
~120 px), Hide list gives a result the full width (remembered per
viewer), cells stay on one line and expand on a click, and structured
values read as text ("Alice Anders", not a Python dict). The CSV keeps
raw values. ROADMAP notes the mixed-ownership folder move as a recipe.

Review: the row filter searched Python's repr, so "Alice Anders" found
nothing though the table showed it; it now searches the displayed text
and the raw one. A `!grid` in builder.js made Tailwind emit an unused
important utility; the variable is renamed.

no-failure-log: review fixes on this unmerged branch; nothing shipped broken.
