Summary

  • open the IAM v0.1.12 release branch
  • synchronize the package version
  • prepare release notes for reusable IAM dialogs
  • run CI on pull requests into release branches, as fleetops does

Planned release work

  • feat(iam) #33: move the user, group, role and policy dialogs into user-actions, group-actions, role-actions and policy-actions services so other engines, such as Fleetbase AI, can open them

Related

  • fleetbase/ai release v0.0.5

…policies

Move the create, edit, invite and row actions out of the index controllers into
`user-actions`, `group-actions`, `role-actions` and `policy-actions` services
extending ember-core's `ResourceActionService`, following the pattern Fleet-Ops
already uses. The controllers now delegate to them, so behavior is unchanged.

This lets other engines (the AI extension in particular) trigger IAM dialogs
through `universe.getServiceFromEngine` instead of query-param deep links.
Feature pull requests now target a release branch rather than main, but
CI only ran on pull requests into main, so they merged unchecked. Match
fleetops, which already runs on release/v* and the legacy dev-v* branches.
… latest

ember-core ^0.3.24 and ember-ui ^0.4.2, the latest published versions.
Driver, customer and contact login accounts are now managed by the server
through their FleetOps profile, so IAM no longer lists them.

- Remove the Drivers and Customers tabs, routes, controllers, templates and
their sidebar and header-menu entries. Users is now a single list of team
  members (is_user).
- Drop the unused type query param from the users index.
- When creating or inviting a user whose email or phone belongs to an
existing driver, customer or contact account in the organization, the
server upgrades that account to a team member. Show a toast saying so
  (promoted_from).
The server granted the Administrator role when no role was chosen. It now
requires a role (fleetbase/core-api#266). Mark Role as required on the
user and invite forms, and stop both flows before submitting when no role
is selected.
…in IAM

- Users list columns:
  - Email Verified and Phone Verified, with a Verified/Unverified badge
    (verified date as tooltip) and a verified/unverified filter;
  - Country, Timezone, Date of Birth and IP Address, hidden by default in
the column picker, with country and timezone filters.
- Row actions, each shown only when that email/phone is set and not
verified (`iam verify user`): Send email verification, Send phone
verification, Mark email verified, Mark phone verified. They replace
the single "Verify user", which only covered email.
- user-actions: sendVerification() sends the user a one-click link
(fleetbase/core-api#267). markVerified() marks a channel verified.
verifyUser() keeps working as markVerified(user, 'email').
