Align with Pinakes 0.9.0: feature toggles, closures calendar, patron-type rules, fines ledger - #55
Aligns the app with the Pinakes 0.9.0 circulation stack: patron types and circulation rules, the closures calendar, the fines ledger and the new feature toggles.
Server requirement
The new behaviour needs Pinakes ≥ 0.9.0 (Mobile API 1.9.0 for closed_dates, loanable, reservations_enabled, GET /me/movements and the new 409 codes; Mobile API 1.9.1 for the /health.features toggles fines, closures_calendar and circulation_rules).
On an older server nothing changes: every field is optional, the three flags default to off, the movements entry never appears, no extra availability request is made, and the calendar and loan button behave exactly as in 1.10.0. Catalogue mode, or app access turned off, turns the three flags off whatever the server sends.
What changes
Feature toggles: the three flags are read from /health and persisted with the others. The /health → flags mapping is now a pure InstanceFeatures.from(), so it is unit-tested without the encrypted preferences.
Closures calendar: closed_dates paints closed days grey with a "Library closed" legend entry (only when the library has closures). A closed day cannot be a start, a tap on it says the library is closed, the pre-selected day skips closed and fully-booked days, and the proposed return always lands on an open day: the default return moves forward as the server does, a shortened one sent as end_date moves back and never past the booked day. The same calendar serves the reader and the staff loan desk.
Consultation only / no waitlist: with circulation_rules on, the book page reads loanable and reservations_enabled from the availability payload. The loan button stays visible but disabled, with the reason under it. A 409 not_loanable or reservations_disabled switches the button the same way right away.
Refusal codes: not_loanable, reservations_disabled, reservation_limit_reached, media_limit_reached, max_loans_reached and not_eligible with meta.reason (debt_block, card_expired, user_suspended) get localized wording in both the reader and the staff error tables. Unknown codes, and not_eligible without a reason, keep the server message. Staff borrower pages and the new-loan form name a known eligibility reason in the app's words.
Balance and movements (Profile, only with features.fines): balance, the "loans blocked" banner with the library's threshold, fines still accruing on overdue loans, and the ledger. A 404 feature_disabled (or a server without the route) closes the page instead of showing an error. The DTO reads the server's items and also the planned name movements.
Additive fields, shown only when present: patron_type on the profile, consultation_only on a staff copy.
Strings in all four locales (en, it, de, fr). STATUS.md and _contract/health-sample.json updated. No Room schema change.
Tests
58 new unit tests in app/src/test/java/com/pinakes/app/server090/: flag mapping (old payload, new payload, catalogue mode), closed days in CalendarModel and in the loan window, payload parsing with and without the new fields, the loan-button decision, refusal mapping for readers and staff, the movements state (feature disabled, missing route, error, failed refresh, row keys without ids), a return moved over a closure that meets a booked day, closed days refused by the staff loan form, the decimal balance fallback, money formatting, and a Robolectric check that the button is disabled with its reason for loanable=false.
Locally: testDebugUnitTest and testReleaseUnitTest 504 tests, none failed or skipped; lintDebug and lintRelease with zero errors; assembleDebug; androidTest sources compile. No emulator was attached, so I did not run device tests for this change; I checked the /health flag names against a local 0.9.0 server.
Summary by CodeRabbit
…type rules, fines ledger
Read the three 0.9.0 flags from /health (fines, closures_calendar, circulation_rules), default off and forced off in catalogue mode; the /health mapping is now a pure InstanceFeatures.from().
Closures calendar: closed_dates paints closed days grey with their own legend entry, they cannot be a start, a tap says the library is closed, the pre-selected day skips them, and the proposed return always lands on an open day (forward for the default return, back for a shortened end_date).
Circulation rules: with circulation_rules on, the book page reads loanable and reservations_enabled and keeps the loan button visible but disabled with the reason. The 409 codes not_loanable, reservations_disabled, reservation_limit_reached, media_limit_reached, max_loans_reached and not_eligible with meta.reason are mapped for readers and staff; unknown codes keep the server message.
Balance and movements page behind features.fines (GET /me/movements); a 404 feature_disabled closes it. Additive patron_type on the profile and consultation_only on staff copies.
48 new unit tests (pure functions plus a Robolectric check of the disabled button).

ℹ️ No critical issues. Three rough edges are noted inline.
Reviewed changes
This is the initial review of the full PR, which aligns the app with the Pinakes 0.9.0 circulation stack.
Feature toggles: fines, closures_calendar and circulation_rules are now read from /health through a new pure InstanceFeatures.from(), persisted, and forced off in catalogue mode.
Closures calendar: closed_dates adds a grey DayKind.Closed. A closed day can't be picked, the pre-selected start skips closed and fully-booked days, and loanWindowFrom moves the proposed return to an open day.
Patron-type rules: CirculationRules decides whether the loan button is enabled and adds wording for the new 409 codes. The rules come from /availability (fetched only when the flag is on) and are updated after a refusal.
Staff wording: there are new StaffErrors codes, an eligibilityRes mapping for meta.reason and eligibility reasons, and a consultation_only note in the copy summary.
Balance and movements: adds the GET /me/movements model, ViewModel and screen. A 404 or feature_disabled closes the page, and the screen is reached from Profile behind showMovements.
Profile and strings: the profile shows the patron type, and the new strings are in all four locales (key sets checked, they match).

…ements page
- A default return moved forward over closed days now stops on the last open day before a fully-booked day it meets, capped and sent as end_date, mirroring the server's renewal cap. Without max_loan_duration_days (servers before closures existed) the default return is left as it is.
- Movements: LazyColumn keys fall back to the row position when the server omits an id; the accrued total shows even without per-loan rows; a failed refresh keeps the balance and says it may be out of date.
- Document why the calendar follows closed_dates rather than the closures_calendar flag.

Reviewed changes
This review covers 4e25f71, which fixes the problems raised on e3e6c13.
Return moved over a closure: in loanWindowFrom, a default return that falls on a closed day now walks forward. If the walk reaches a fully-booked day, that day becomes firstBlocked, the return moves back to the last open day before it, and the date is sent as end_date. I traced both new ClosedDatesCalendarTest cases by hand and they match the code.
Branch without the maximum: the maxLoanDurationDays == null branch no longer moves the return. This is consistent because closed_dates only arrives with servers that also send the maximum.
Movements row keys: both lists use itemsIndexed with MoneyFormat.rowKey(), which falls back to the row's position when the id is missing. A position key (-at-N) cannot collide with an id key.
Failed refresh: a failed refresh now sets refreshFailed. The screen shows a snackbar (new string in all four locales) and then clears the flag, and the next successful refresh resets it.
Accrued total: the total now shows when accruedCents != 0, even if the server sends no per-loan rows.
closuresCalendarAvailable: documented as informational, with the reason the calendar follows closed_dates and not the flag.

Reviewed changes
This review covers 6ad5757, which changes how the accrued-fines total is worked out when the server leaves it out.
Nullable accrued_cents: MovementsPayload.accruedCents is now Int?. The new computed accruedTotalCents uses the server's total when it is sent, otherwise the sum of the accrued rows. An explicit 0 stays 0. It is a getter-only property, so it is not serialized.
Screen uses the fallback: the visibility check in MovementsScreen and the section header now read accruedTotalCents. No other code reads accruedCents.
Test: theAccruedTotalFallsBackToTheRowsOnlyWhenAbsent covers rows only, an explicit zero, and the server sample.

…aff loan form, balance fallback
- fines, closures_calendar and circulation_rules also need app_access_enabled, like every other area flag.
- Staff new loan/reservation: both date pickers refuse the library's closed days, and submit names a closed start or return instead of sending it.
- Movements: a missing balance_cents falls back to the decimal balance.
On the two outside-diff comments of the last CodeRabbit review, both fixed in 9d1e87f:
FeatureStore.kt: fines, closures_calendar and circulation_rules now also require app_access_enabled, as the other area flags do. Test appAccessOffHidesTheThreeAreasLikeEveryOtherArea.
StaffLoanCreateScreen.kt: both date pickers take the library's closed days as unselectable (SelectableDates), and submit() refuses a start or return on a closed day with a message naming it, so nothing on a closed day reaches the server. Tests in StaffLoanClosedDaysTest.

Reviewed changes
This review covers 9d1e87f, which fixes the three findings raised against 6ad5757.
App access gates the 0.9.0 flags: InstanceFeatures.from() now turns finesAvailable, closuresCalendarAvailable and circulationRulesAvailable off when app_access_enabled is false, as it already does for the other areas. A new test covers it, and showMovements follows from finesAvailable.
Closed days in the staff loan form: DatePickerField takes a disabledDates set and greys those days through M3 SelectableDates, using the same UTC conversion as the confirm handler. submit() refuses a closed start or return with the new staff_loan_closed_day message. This check runs after the date-order check and before saving, so the state stays consistent. The string is in all four locales and uses no em dash.
Balance fallback: balanceCents is now nullable, and the computed balanceTotalCents falls back to the decimal balance (a comma is read as the decimal point, rounded HALF_UP) and then to 0. BalanceCard reads the fallback, and the tests cover an explicit value, decimals, a comma decimal, an unparseable string and an empty payload.

This review covers 4c565c9, which fixes the two staff loan form findings raised against 9d1e87f.
Today checked for a loan without a start: closedDateChosen now treats a missing start as today when the form is not a reservation, so handing over a loan on a closed day is refused. A reservation without a start still has no implicit day.
Submit waits for the calendar: loadCalendar() sets calendarLoading while the availability is being fetched and clears it on both success and failure. canSubmit checks the flag, so the button is disabled while it is set, and submit() now returns early on !canSubmit. A failed fetch leaves the form usable and the server decides, as before.
Tests: two new StaffLoanClosedDaysTest cases cover the implicit-today check, including the reservation exemption, and the canSubmit gating while loading and after a failed fetch.

Invocare submit() nel test di attesa del calendario.
submitWaitsForTheCalendar verifica solo LoanCreateUiState.canSubmit.

Picking another book or user while the availability was still loading let the older answer end the loading and, on failure, clear the calendar, so the form could be sent without the closures check. Each request now carries a number and an answer to a superseded request is dropped.
On the nitpick about submitWaitsForTheCalendar: I'm leaving the ViewModel out of the unit tests. StaffLoanCreateViewModel takes the concrete StaffCirculationRepository/StaffRepository (no interface to fake), so the suite tests the pure LoanCreateUiState instead. submit() returns on exactly the canSubmit the test asserts, and c4e60f7 adds onlyTheLatestCalendarRequestIsApplied, which checks that canSubmit stays false while the latest request is pending even after an older answer arrives.

Reviewed changes
This review covers c4e60f7, which makes the staff loan form apply only the answer to its latest availability request. This fixes the overlapping-request case CodeRabbit raised against 4c565c9.
Request counter: LoanCreateUiState.calendarRequest goes up in startCalendarRequest(), and loadCalendar() reads the new number atomically through updateAndGet. withCalendarResult() leaves the state unchanged when the answer is for an older request. A slow reply for the previous book can no longer replace the calendar or clear calendarLoading while the latest request is still in flight, so canSubmit stays false until the right calendar arrives.
forbidden is OR-ed: a failed calendar fetch now adds to forbidden and never clears it. That is harmless, because ForbiddenExit already leaves the screen once the flag is set.
Test: onlyTheLatestCalendarRequestIsApplied checks that a stale success and a stale failure are both dropped, and that the latest success and the latest failure (including forbidden) are both applied.

Aligns the app with the Pinakes 0.9.0 circulation stack: patron types and circulation rules, the closures calendar, the fines ledger and the new feature toggles.
Server requirement
The new behaviour needs Pinakes ≥ 0.9.0 (Mobile API 1.9.0 for
closed_dates,loanable,reservations_enabled,GET /me/movementsand the new 409 codes; Mobile API 1.9.1 for the/health.featurestogglesfines,closures_calendarandcirculation_rules).On an older server nothing changes: every field is optional, the three flags default to off, the movements entry never appears, no extra availability request is made, and the calendar and loan button behave exactly as in 1.10.0. Catalogue mode, or app access turned off, turns the three flags off whatever the server sends.
What changes
/healthand persisted with the others. The/health→ flags mapping is now a pureInstanceFeatures.from(), so it is unit-tested without the encrypted preferences.closed_datespaints closed days grey with a "Library closed" legend entry (only when the library has closures). A closed day cannot be a start, a tap on it says the library is closed, the pre-selected day skips closed and fully-booked days, and the proposed return always lands on an open day: the default return moves forward as the server does, a shortened one sent asend_datemoves back and never past the booked day. The same calendar serves the reader and the staff loan desk.circulation_ruleson, the book page readsloanableandreservations_enabledfrom the availability payload. The loan button stays visible but disabled, with the reason under it.
