prereleases do not create compatibility obligations.
- Dependabot-authored update text is preapproved for review. Process dependency
and security updates promptly, then mark handled notifications done.
- Check GitHub notifications and approved incoming work at session start, after
releases, and at substantive task handoffs. During long-running work, use the
last completed review time to keep reviews current; do not wait for a human
reminder. Inventory open issues and PRs across the organization at least daily
during active stewardship.
- Mark notifications read after reading them and done after handling them.
A cleared inbox does not close unfinished work: retain its next action in the
owning issue or PR. Intake approval is still required before reading untrusted
prose; notification management does not bypass that boundary.

and human decision. Patch and minor releases follow repository policy and
semantic versioning without a central cross-repository release controller.

### Cross-Repository Release Follow-Through

Own the whole product surface, not just the repository that produced a tag.
Complete this checklist on the existing release PR or issue; do not create a
ceremonial tracking issue, new coordinator, or script-driven release pipeline.

1. Inspect current dependency constraints, lockfiles, image contents and artifact
manifests in affected consumers. For Workflow, consider Server, embedded
Waterline, Sample App and deployed applications; for protocol changes, also
consider CLI, every first-party SDK, service-mode Waterline and their examples.
Distinguish runtime dependencies from development-only test dependencies.
2. Record which consumers need an update, rebuild, release or deployment, and
why the others do not. Do not assume a new library tag updates a pinned Server
image, or release unchanged SDKs merely to align version numbers. Keep Cloud
deployment decisions and evidence in its private repository.
3. Select the affected experiments from the conformance runbook before calling
the change complete. Cover the actual changed behavior and its consumers,
including PHP, Python and Rust when the portable contract is affected.
Scale coverage to risk; do not rerun unrelated matrices for cosmetic changes.
4. After publication, verify registry availability and run those experiments
with the exact published packages and images customers can install. Record
versions/digests, outcomes and links in the owning GitHub record. Source CI,
dependency resolution, a local patched image, or an older passing tuple is
not a substitute for the required published-artifact conformance.
5. Finish required downstream work and verify the user-visible result before
declaring the fix delivered across the product. Keep any unfinished rollout
explicit, with its next action. Reply to affected reporters after delivery
and clear handled notifications. Perform this follow-through without waiting
for the human to identify a stale consumer or request an experiment.

## Documentation After Stable 2.0
