Summary

Bumps the TipTap family to 3.32.0 and @tiptap/y-tiptap to 3.0.10. This picks up the remote-cursor position fix from ueberdosis/y-tiptap#55, landed in ueberdosis/tiptap#8475 and published in TipTap 3.32.0.

Upstream only. No docs.plus issue.

Type of change

  • Bug fix (upstream remote-cursor positions)
  • New feature
  • Refactor
  • Documentation update
  • CI/CD or tooling change

What

  • Catalog: every @tiptap/* package moves from ^3.31.3 to ^3.32.0.
  • Catalog: @tiptap/y-tiptap moves from ^3.0.9 to ^3.0.10.
  • Root overrides: @tiptap/core, @tiptap/pm, and @tiptap/starter-kit pin to 3.32.0.
  • prosemirror-model / transform / view follow @tiptap/pm 3.32.0.
  • prosemirror-changeset stays at 2.4.1. Version 2.4.2+ halves MAX_DIFF_SIZE to 2500 and collapses History Compare.
  • Extension README peer floors and vanilla example pins move to ^3.32.0.
  • Hypermultimedia linked-image spec ignores img.ProseMirror-separator. TipTap 3.32 wraps those 0px imgs inside the hyperlink mark.

npm latest at bump time: every catalog @tiptap/* package is 3.32.0 except @tiptap/y-tiptap, which versions on its own 3.0.x line and is 3.0.10.

Why

Remote carets jumped after a structural edit (heading, list, insert). y-tiptap 3.0.10 plus TipTap 3.32.0 keep the mapped position.

The house awareness guard stays. @hocuspocus/provider is still 3.4.4 and still echoes awareness. The upstream echo fix is in Hocuspocus 4.5.0, not in this bump.

How to test

  1. Install with bun install.
  2. Open a pad with two signed-in browsers.
  3. Place the remote caret in a heading or list.
  4. Edit structure above that caret (change heading rank, toggle a list, insert a block).
  5. The remote caret should stay on the same text, not jump.

Also confirm History Compare still diffs a long pad. The changeset pin is what keeps that path alive.

Checklist

  • I ran the local quality gates that this environment can run (see below). I did not run a full bun run check:ci to completion here.
  • I tested the change locally (typecheck, lint, unit/backend suites, Next build:ci, extension Cypress that this Electron can run).
  • I added/updated tests where needed (linked-image selector).
  • I updated related documentation where needed (README peer floors, change-attribution pin note).
  • This PR is focused and does not include unrelated changes.

Verified

Gate Result
npm: @tiptap/*@3.32.0, @tiptap/y-tiptap@3.0.10 published
bun run typecheck pass
eslint, stylelint, prettier pass
webapp Jest pass
hocuspocus bun test pass (851)
indent Jest, hyperlink units pass
extension Cypress: indent, hyperlink, inline-code, placeholder pass
hypermultimedia linked-image pass after the separator selector
extension + hocuspocus build pass
webapp build:ci, admin build:ci pass

Not run here

  • Full hypermultimedia hover/resize Cypress. This Electron reports matchMedia('(pointer: fine)') === false, so hover controls stay gated. A forced-fine-pointer probe still opened the gripper and toolbar on 3.32.0. GitHub CI should run the real suite.
  • Chatroom Cypress (scripts/test-chatroom.sh).
  • Backend E2E (needs the CI Postgres/Redis services).

guardProviderAwareness.ts is unchanged on purpose.

Open in Web Open in Cursor

Picks up @tiptap/y-tiptap 3.0.10 so remote-cursor
positions survive structural edits (ueberdosis/y-tiptap#55,
ueberdosis/tiptap#8475). Catalog and overrides move in
lockstep. prosemirror-changeset stays at 2.4.1 so History
Compare does not collapse a whole pad.
TipTap 3.32 wraps 0px ProseMirror-separator images inside
the hyperlink mark. A bare img query then reads the
separator and misses the real src.
