The paste demo invites pasting currency and full-width digits; (1,234) now belongs there too. The field gains data-numkey-negative so the conversion is actually visible.

The demo site's paste-sanitizing field now advertises
(1,234)alongside the currency and full-width examples, and carriesdata-numkey-negativeso the conversion is actually visible (without it the field is positive-only and the paren form is correctly ignored).Verified in a real browser: pasting
