Version 1.2.4 fixes the Complete wipe discovery error The parameter is incorrect: '\\.\nul'. Literal reserved-name files are scanned in the extended file namespace, without opening Windows device aliases. Actual failure details also appear beside the wipe action instead of only a generic retry status.
Version 1.2.3 gives Anti Api one administrator-approved Complete wipe action for every registered Windows user. Accept permanent deletion and type WIPE ROBLOX; the action checks its supported scope and then deletes it without a separate preview/save step. It uninstalls known Roblox Player/Studio installations and Store packages, removes identified Roblox/DepthStrap data and registrations, and retains only the exact original installed DepthStrap.exe. Discovered saved Studio projects and models are permanently deleted. Roblox cookies are removed from supported browser cookie databases and Firefox recovery files, while other sites' cookies and saved browser tabs remain. Close supported browsers, including their background processes, before starting. Offline registry loading has a fallback and reports native Windows errors; deletion no longer requests ownership/ACL modification rights. Standard Windows compatibility junctions are recognized without following them, and unresolved locations detected during final verification prevent a success result. Unsupported, locked, redirected or unreviewed locations produce an error or incomplete result. Unlisted copies, custom browser locations, Windows logs, cloud data and external backups are outside this reset.
The release also fixes ID Selector selection disappearing after clicking a game, serializes concurrent Roblox launches through multi-client preparation, and watches for an actually destroyed Player window before cleaning up a lingering process. Hidden or recreated windows are preserved. Current/downgrade release labels refresh from their catalogs; release families such as 741 and 742 resolve to verified Windows Player builds. Public network discovery honors bounded Retry-After cooldowns. DepthStrap automatic updates continue to change only DepthStrap; Roblox pause and pinned-version settings remain intact.
Version 1.2.1 fixes false missing-probe reports caused by city-name differences, including New York/New York City and Frankfurt/Frankfurt am Main. Network setup distinguishes unpublished addresses from published probes that do not respond. Each full audit now records a verified yes/no address-coverage result for every active datacenter. Published peering addresses measure routing, not Roblox gameplay latency; locations without published addresses remain untested during setup.
Includes Roblox release-number lookup and autocomplete: type 741 or 742, choose a Windows Player release, then explicitly install it. App updates acknowledge replacement startup, retry busy executable replacement and resume the installed app when an update cannot complete. Network queries and game searches use bounded waits and cancellation; dialogs follow the selected theme and font. Diagnostics redact sensitive launch fields and keep startup working when log storage fails.
Anti Api ( Beta ) is included above Appearance in Settings. It offers the combined all-user reset described above, masked device diagnostics, and a supported adapter MAC change with original-value backup, connectivity checks and Restore. Resetting data signs you out and permanently removes local settings and discovered Studio creations; all resets require administrator approval, explicit confirmation and closed Roblox/Studio/DepthStrap/browser processes. MAC changes request Windows administrator approval and depend on driver support. The recovery runtime and adapter script are embedded in DepthStrap itself, so automatic app updates include them. It does not write firmware or monitor identifiers, clear Windows security logs, reset third-party licenses or guarantee executor compatibility. Destructive all-user Windows servicing, physical adapter, reboot and signed-in gameplay behavior still need real-world validation.
An advanced Roblox app for Windows with installation and version management, Competitive and Balanced profiles, FastFlags editing, local server-route learning, network diagnostics, and a custom Crimson Contract theme.
Download the Windows package from DepthStrap releases.
Run DepthStrap.exe from the Windows release package. It installs under %LOCALAPPDATA%\DepthStrap, registers Roblox launch links and opens network setup during installation. Setup downloads and verifies the official Cloudflare WARP package, installs it through Windows Installer, and compares normal routing against WARP. Accept Cloudflare's application terms and privacy policy before its installation and registration; Windows may request administrator permission. No city is preset. Partial route coverage gets one additional pair of verified passes. Without at least two repeat-measured matching IPv4 locations, the comparison remains inconclusive and keeps the starting WARP state. Setup can still finish with region lookup and session logging; Roblox matchmaking and the manual WARP toggle remain available.
WARP downloads directly from Cloudflare during setup rather than being redistributed inside the ZIP. WARP routes the computer's Internet traffic through Cloudflare; Cloudflare manages its service, registration and own logs. DepthStrap's network reset retains WARP's installation and registration.
The standalone Windows x64 build includes .NET and requires no separate runtime installation. This build is unsigned. From version 1.0.11, automatic DepthStrap updates are enabled by default and can be disabled in DepthStrap Settings. The app checks the latest stable GitHub release when opened, verifies the DepthStrap.exe asset size and GitHub SHA-256 digest, installs it and resumes the original launch action. Updates defer while Roblox, Studio or another DepthStrap instance is running. Transient network failures receive bounded retries; rate limits and invalid downloads defer the update. Temporary executable locks receive up to 30 seconds of replacement retries. The parent app waits for the replacement to acknowledge startup before handing over. Failed replacement attempts resume the installed app once with the original launch action, including when an older updater supplied the launch arguments. An automatic updater also rechecks the installed version under its replacement lock to avoid overwriting a newer installation. Failed checks or downloads keep the installed version. Users of 1.0.10 or earlier need one manual upgrade to enable this feature. This updater only replaces DepthStrap; it never changes Roblox update, pause or pinned-build settings.
Version 1.0.3 repairs warning settings disabled by an older failed datacenter-registry test. Live warnings and autolog operate independently of benchmark capabilities and start their required watcher even when other monitoring options are disabled. The watcher recognizes replacement joins and teleports without disconnect lines, accepts either server-confirmation order and retries temporarily locked log files. Location lookup retries transient failures and can use matching selected-server metadata or observed job history; missing universe logs fall back to Roblox's public place API. Warning and autolog decisions precede optional WARP/ping diagnostics. Unknown locations never cause an automatic leave, and stale results cannot warn about a server you have left. The recovery-loop safeguards from 1.0.2 remain in place.
Version 1.0.4 preserves settings after unreadable or corrupt file loads, serializes cooperating settings readers and writers, and adds local Git privacy guards. Autolog accepts delayed region lookups only while their original join remains active. Custom app/Roblox fonts are validated as usable font faces, retained locally, and applied or reset only after settings save successfully.
Version 1.0.5 makes Roblox XML saves and imports atomic and validates imports before replacement. Failed saves preserve the file and quality lock, stop save/launch success flows, and retain preset backups for retry. Recent match history reads only the required tail in the background, cancels on page exit, and reports loading, empty and unavailable states.
Version 1.0.15 adds an optional install-time Windows/network performance popup and a Profiles / restore control in DepthStrap Settings. Balanced uses a separate High performance plan and five supported adapter controls. Extreme uses a separate Ultimate Performance plan, requests six AC CPU settings (100% minimum/maximum state, no core parking, performance energy preference, including heterogeneous CPU variants where supported), and inspects 25 adapter controls. Extreme disables supported power saving, interrupt moderation, coalescing, segmentation/checksum offloads and flow control, keeps RSS enabled, and selects reported maximum RSS queues/receive/transmit buffers. RSS processor count stays within available logical processors; unknown or implausible limits are skipped. Link speed uses auto-negotiation for the fastest shared link rather than forcing a speed the router cannot support.
Both profiles require explicit selection and Windows administrator approval. The bundled PowerShell commands run from the app resource rather than an editable temporary script. Originals are saved in a local administrator-owned machine registry key before changes; Restore and profile switching preserve later manual edits, retain unavailable-device backups and remove only generated power plans. The adapter is not forcibly restarted. A highlighted notice says “Changes will apply after Windows restart.” After installation and network setup finish, the completion screen offers Restart Windows with a confirmation; no restart is scheduled during setup and applications are not force-closed. Restart Windows, then rerun Reset Network. Extreme may increase heat, power use, CPU overhead, queueing delay and loss or reduce throughput. Neither profile guarantees lower ping or higher FPS; Ultimate Performance availability depends on Windows/hardware. This feature changes Windows settings, so it is opt-in and independent of app-only automatic updates. Windows components and security services are retained.
Version 1.0.14 cooperates with existing mutex reservations from other multi-client launchers, retaining handles and acquiring ownership when released. Helper startup allows 30 seconds, observes cancellation and reports helper exit/failure promptly. If preparation fails, DepthStrap offers a normal launch when no Player is running or cancels safely when existing sessions are present, with recovery instructions instead of an exception screen. No foreign process handles are closed. Real Account Manager interoperability still needs confirmation on the affected computer.
Version 1.0.13 preserves imported FastFlag names and scalar values, including shortened keys, case-distinct keys and place/datacenter filters. It supersedes 1.0.12's alias conversion: short and full keys with the same suffix stay separate, so neither entry is lost or assigned a guessed prefix. Null entries are skipped as in the upstream editors. Explicit fullscreen flags survive settings reload, and string values equal to their flag name can still be edited. Pasted object members, comments and trailing commas are supported; malformed trailing content and exact duplicate keys remain errors. Imports allow up to 50,000 entries within a 16 MB document. Roblox decides which flags the installed build supports; Competitive continues to apply its managed rendering overrides while enabled.
Version 1.0.12 imports mixed legacy FastFlag exports. Shortened names resolve only when a built-in preset or a full name in the same file identifies one exact prefix. Explicit full-name values take priority over conflicting shortened entries regardless of order. Unresolved names are listed for review before importing the rest; no prefixes are guessed and the original file is unchanged.
Version 1.0.11 enables verified stable app updates from this repository, replaces executables atomically, validates the advertised app version, and preserves the existing installed app on replacement failure. Roblox installation and repair now stop while the target product is running rather than terminating Player sessions. App registration refreshes paths after relocation, and client registration uses the actual launch directory, including offline and background-update launches. Publish a higher numeric version tag (for example v1.0.12) as the latest stable GitHub Release with a DepthStrap.exe asset; source pushes alone do not update installed copies. Publish as a draft and finish uploading assets before making it public.
Version 1.0.10 detects incomplete Player builds before launch, including missing, malformed or wrong-architecture RobloxPlayerBeta.dll dependencies. Damaged builds trigger repair even when updates are disabled, remain incomplete if downloaded core files fail validation, and are excluded from installed build choices. Older monolithic builds remain supported. Player and Studio launches select their own executable explicitly.
Version 1.0.9 recovers malformed Player and Studio installation metadata in memory, validates mod paths and marks damaged metadata for repair. Legacy state is retained until both migrated product states save successfully. Rollback reloads the installed build from disk and confirms its executable and completion state before reporting success; failed refreshes retain previous choices.
Version 1.0.8 checks disk space before modifying an existing install, uses 64-bit package totals, and bounds extraction concurrency. Failed and cancelled installs wait for extraction workers and retain a Player- or Studio-specific recovery marker. Completed installs require successful state saves. Rollback installs the selected build without automatically launching Roblox; build IDs are distinct from the DepthStrap app version. Third-party executor compatibility has not been verified.
Version 1.0.7 verifies stock Roblox cache packages and stages downloads until their manifest size and checksum match. Failed or cancelled transfers cannot become installable packages; malformed manifests stop installation. Failed settings tasks stay queued for retry, while completed changes are not repeated.
Version 1.0.6 preserves shared graphics settings and their quality lock while any Roblox Player remains active. Graphics changes apply after all clients close; launch-only flags can still change between profiles. Settings recover explicit null collections and unknown enum values in memory without silently rewriting saved files. Rollback saves its selection before launching, prevents overlapping requests, supports cancelling the WEAO lookup, and reports installer completion or failure.
- Competitive: graphics quality 3, FPS matched to the monitor's maximum supported refresh rate at its current resolution, High process priority, performance QoS, MSAA 1x, minimum supported mesh detail distances, no grass, texture quality 0 and automatic renderer selection. The quality lock is released when the client closes. Preset-owned settings are backed up and restored when the profile is disabled; later manual edits are preserved.
- Balanced: moderate rendering reductions and monitor-matched FPS, with available adaptive networking retained.
- FastFlags: searchable name/value list, direct editing, add/paste JSON, file import, export/copy JSON, delete/clear and undo/redo. Imports are validated before changing any flags. Save applies edits on the next launch. Roblox may ignore flags outside its allowlist; Competitive manages its rendering flags while active.
- Normal-versus-WARP comparison during installation and from settings. Every published operational Roblox IPv4 and IPv6 exchange interface is considered, without a per-city address cap. Each route receives three passes with 24 probes per target, at least 45 seconds between pass starts, three route-state confirmations, 15 seconds to settle after switching and a fresh state check before probing. Route changes during probing or between WARP passes stop the comparison and restore the starting route. Recommendations require repeat-pass evidence across at least two routing locations. Allow 6–15 minutes; unresponsive targets can extend the test up to its 45-minute budget. IPv4 matched targets determine the recommendation for the observed IPv4 gameplay endpoints; IPv6 results expand coverage without overriding an unavailable IPv4 comparison. Errors and cancellation restore the starting WARP state. The result popup reports the final verified state, and a manual WARP toggle remains available. Failed discovery remains eligible for setup on the next launch.
- Local region learning from usable server measurements by time of day and route. Prefer NA (US, Canada and Mexico) or Prefer EU is selected automatically from normal-route location, with a manual override. Primary and fallback cities come from measurements. Sample thresholds and hysteresis prevent sparse or noisy data from continually changing preferences. Some datacenters, including Mexico at the time of verification, have no published IPv4 exchange probe; those regions are learned from actual joins instead of invented ping estimates.
- Reset Network clears network logs, traceroutes, region history and learned preferences before a new comparison. Late pre-reset diagnostic results are rejected. Tests enable or disable available network capabilities. Disconnect other VPNs or proxies before testing for an accurate baseline and location estimates.
- Custom DepthStrap ID Selector with public Roblox server lists and current public region metadata from RoValra. Browsing requires no account access, authentication cookie, browser automation or Froststrap service. Verified place/job regions from confirmed joins provide a local fallback. All regions includes unknown locations; specific-region filters and automatic preferred-server selection use known regions. Failed metadata requests retain the public list, errors release loading controls, and scans are bounded and cancellable. Automatic selection is limited to confirmed Deepwoken launches; explicit server selections and private joins retain their original parameters. When region metadata is unavailable, normal Roblox matchmaking remains available.
- Session details including UDMUX/RCC addresses, resolved regions, WARP state, supplementary ICMP RTT and local history. Known bad Deepwoken joins are logged and can show a warning. A single optional autolog-and-rejoin toggle leaves the affected client, reopens Roblox Home and shows a cancelable ten-second countdown, then opens Deepwoken's entry place through normal preferred-server selection. It requires a confirmed Deepwoken universe, covering the Depths, Layer 2 and all Chime subplaces; other games never trigger it. It preserves other clients and allows one recovery in ten minutes, reserving that attempt before closing Roblox. The entry menu and unmeasured cities within the preferred area never trigger autolog. Automatically recovered clients continue to warn and log but cannot restart again until you launch Roblox manually. Closing Home or starting another game cancels the pending rejoin. Leaving may forfeit a run or match; reserved destinations cannot be resumed. Autolog is off by default.
- Pause Roblox updates is on by default after the first Player install. Downgrade from WEAO RDD, retained builds or an official
version-ID. RDD supplies the previous-version catalog; packages use Roblox deployment manifests and CDN. Roblox may reject older clients. - Multi-client launches use a helper that owns both Roblox singleton mutexes before launching, retains them across subsequent clients and releases them after the last client exits. Close clients launched without the helper before enabling it.
- Crimson Contract artwork with the GloryToBloodrend watermark, plus simple Dark, Light, Blue, Purple, Green, Orange, Pink and system color themes. Custom branding covers the installer, launcher, tray and executable icon.
- Appearance's App and Roblox font setting accepts .ttf/.otf files and retains a local copy. DepthStrap updates immediately; Roblox's local font families change on its next launch. Reset restores the app immediately and Roblox package fonts on the next launch. Fonts supplied separately by a game may differ.
- Roblox input, audio and accessibility settings; launch behavior, update/channel controls and optional file cleanup. CPU priority is controlled only in Roblox Settings, and automatic FPS displays the monitor cap.
Competitive uses supported local rendering flags. Custom imports are preserved and submitted as entered; Roblox may ignore them. Game-controlled streaming distance and network traffic cannot be universally overridden. ICMP probes describe routing, not Roblox gameplay latency or UDP loss. Performance varies by device, connection and Roblox version.
The release contains no personal settings, accounts, cookies, session logs or learned preferences. Test results and history are created locally for each installation. Full public egress IP logging is off by default. Roblox account permission controls and cookie-reading/authentication code are removed. Logs and learned data are stored under the installation directory. GlobalBasicSettings remains in Roblox's own directory.
Before committing, run pwsh Scripts/install-git-privacy-guard.ps1 inside this checkout. It configures a repository-local public GitHub noreply identity and installs commit, commit-message and pre-push checks. These block private identities, personal profile paths, known credentials and runtime files; the push check also catches commits made while bypassing pre-commit. pwsh Scripts/verify-git-privacy-guard.ps1 verifies the hooks against an isolated local repository and local bare remote. The optional .git/privacy-denylist.txt stores additional private strings locally and is never included in source packages. Hooks can be bypassed, so release package scans remain required.

pwsh Scripts/audit-release.ps1 -DotNet dotnetChecks isolate settings and fake Roblox files under artifacts/previews. They do not install the app, launch Roblox or change real Roblox settings. Checks cover profile restoration, ranking, URI preservation, rollback validation, log concurrency/privacy, simultaneous helper startup, the parsed-join-to-session/warning/autolog pipeline, theme migration, layout, FastFlags validation, capability policy, A/B selection, cancellation/failure restoration, scoped reset and Deepwoken-only autolog/rejoin decisions across subplaces. Route-control tests use a fake WARP client. An optional --verify-warp-package path/to/Cloudflare-WARP.msi check exercises the production Windows signature verifier against a downloaded official MSI. An optional --verify-public-network check loads the live routing targets, datacenter registry and public Deepwoken server list without switching WARP or launching Roblox. Interface previews render without showing a window. Actual elevated WARP installation, live multi-client behavior and the Home/rejoin handoff still require a Windows gameplay check.
