The README isolates PR runs with a run-id workflow group but leaves superseded jobs alive. Extend the example with separate per-PR groups for slot and work, while non-PR jobs use per-run groups and deliveries remain in the workflow-level queue: max group.

Explain why slot must participate: an older run whose slot job finishes late can otherwise reach the work group after the newer run and cancel its job. Include matrix-leg isolation guidance and link GitHub's concurrency contract. PR paths that need the delivery lock still stay in the shared workflow group.

Validation:

  • The existing unit suite passes.
  • Applied the documented blocks to the enrollment example, added a PR trigger, and checked the resulting workflow with actionlint 1.7.12. It passes with only the unsupported queue key warning excluded; that same warning is present in the unchanged enrollment example.
  • README ASCII and git diff --check pass.

This changes documentation only.

The run-id workflow group keeps PR runs out of the delivery queue but leaves superseded work alive. Give each job on the PR path its own per-PR group, and explain why slot must participate so delayed bookkeeping cannot release stale work after the newer job. Keep non-PR job groups per run and document matrix-leg isolation.
