## [Unreleased]

## [1.27.0] - 2026-09-08

### Added

- Added `-w` and `--workspace` as the shared Workspace option used by authentication, OIDC, and custom-domain discovery. Set `CLOUDSMITH_WORKSPACE` or `workspace` in `config.ini` to configure it once for every command.
- Added a Terraform credentials helper for Cloudsmith registries. `cloudsmith credential-helper install terraform` writes a `terraform-credentials-cloudsmith` launcher into Terraform's plugin directory (`~/.terraform.d/plugins` by default; override with `--bin-dir`) and adds a `credentials_helper "cloudsmith"` block to `~/.terraformrc`, so `terraform init` authenticates against a Cloudsmith Terraform registry with no token on disk, using your existing CLI credentials (env, config, keyring, or OIDC). The resolved `--org`, `-r/--repo`, `-P/--profile`, and any non-default `--config-file`/`--credentials-file` are baked into the terraformrc `args` list, so `terraform init` resolves the same credentials as the install invocation with no environment variables. `get` returns `{"token": "..."}` for a Cloudsmith host (including custom domains) and `{}` for any other host so Terraform falls back to its own credential sources; `store`/`forget` are unsupported (`store` drains its stdin payload before erroring, per the protocol). Missing credentials for a Cloudsmith host produce an actionable error rather than a traceback. Manage with `cloudsmith credential-helper uninstall terraform` and `cloudsmith credential-helper list`.
- Added `--color {auto, always, never}` and support for `NO_COLOR`, `CLOUDSMITH_FORCE_COLOR`, and `TERM=dumb` to control ANSI output.
- Failed OIDC token exchanges now print diagnostics for the configured Workspace, service, API host, detector, and decoded JWT header and claims without printing the raw token.

### Changed

- `cloudsmith domains list` now includes the Workspace slug in a `workspace` field.
- `cloudsmith auth` now reuses an existing SSO session when it can be renewed.
- `cloudsmith auth` now reports the SSO access-token expiry in normal and JSON output.
- SAML two-factor codes are now visible while entered, making numeric input errors easier to spot.

### Fixed

- SSO access tokens now refresh based on their JWT expiry. Transient refresh failures retain usable tokens, while expired or rejected sessions fall back to other authentication.
- SAML authentication now tries callback ports `12400` through `12404` instead of failing when port `12400` is occupied.
- Raised minimum dependency versions to incorporate current security fixes for Cryptography, PyJWT, MCP, Pydantic Settings, and Starlette.
