Luis co-founded Bitergia in 2014, a company that provided software analytics for open source software ecosystems through 2026. Before creating Bitergia, he spent a decade working with a research group at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Spain) specializing in the analysis of OSS communities. He has extensively analyzed OSS projects from various angles, contributing to both the development of data collection tools (contributing to the CHAOSS community) and the creation of reports and risk models based on those datasets.
