Description

AgentRegistry already supports remote MCP servers as declarative resources. This adds a ready-to-copy public search example using the existing streamable-http shape, with no headers or credentials required.

The change adds examples/mcp-search.yaml, links it from the declarative CLI guide, and tests the checked-in manifest against the current decoder and MCPServer validation. Existing examples and registry behavior are unchanged.

Change Type

/kind documentation

Changelog

Add a public remote MCP example for web search and URL fetching.

Additional Notes

Validated with the focused example and MCP schema tests, the complete pkg/api/v1alpha1 suite, go test -tags=unit ./..., diff hygiene, and a credential-free MCP initialize request. Live model-backed tool selection was not part of this example-only change.

Disclosure: I work at Parallel.ai, which operates this MCP endpoint.
