This is the vote thread for updates on the charter.

Per the current charter we need a 30-day vote on the proposed new charter and it must receive 2/3 of the votes cast in the approval vote to pass.

The new charter comes in effect 7 days after the result of the election is announced. Which is effectively Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Thanks Niklas! Since you mention documentation, the W3C Docs CG has been working on Security and Privacy documentation in the last few months. Maybe add us as liaisons? https://www.w3.org/community/docs-cg/

Actually I've thought about adding Docs CG recently. To be honest I haven't found time to look into all the good stuff you recently did. I will check out your work and try to participate more.

I added Docs CG as definitely should coordinate on security and privacy. And we already did get a lot of help from OpenWebDocs for compat documentation.
