new-api.workspaces-dev.sidewalks.washington.edu currently resolves to the
frontend host, which 404s every path and makes the dev proxy hang (e.g.
/new-api/v1/workspaces/{id}/bbox never returns). The main backend
(api.workspaces-dev → ws-backend-dev) serves the same /api/v1/* endpoints,
so route /new-api there. Revert once new-api DNS is fixed in the dev env.

A multi-changeset import leaves its later batches out of the first-changeset common ancestor, so those elements read as "created" in both workspaces and were kept twice (e.g. ~191 duplicated ways in a real merge). When the two copies are content-identical — same geometry and tags, ignoring per-workspace metadata — they are the same imported element: collapse to one instead of remapping B's into a duplicate. Genuinely distinct same-id elements are still remapped, and a divergent copy is kept (not silently merged away). Adds elementContentEqual/tagsEqual to util/osm-merge, with regression tests. Surfacing geometry/tag conflicts on such batched-import elements still needs the full import in the ancestor; left as a follow-up. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>

official Nitro devProxy target path handling prependPath route prefix
💡 Result:
**Nitro’s official `devProxy` docs don’t specify how a matched route prefix is handled in the upstream path.** They say `devProxy` proxies development-server requests and point to `node-http-proxy` for target options, but don’t document prefix stripping or rewriting. ([nitro-docs.pages.dev](https://nitro-docs.pages.dev/config/))
So **the docs alone don’t establish whether `/api/foo` matched by `/api` reaches the target as `/api/foo` or `/foo`**. `prependPath` is among the options delegated to `node-http-proxy`; its exact behavior depends on that proxy implementation and version, not a Nitro-specific documented rule.
For explicit path rewriting, Nitro’s current routing docs show `routeRules.proxy`, including wildcard paths such as `'/proxy/**': { proxy: '/api/**' }`. ([nitro.build](https://nitro.build/docs/routing))
**Version caveat:** the linked Nitro `devProxy` docs describe the option generally; they don’t identify a version-specific `prependPath` behavior.

Rewrite the /new-api prefix before proxying.
WorkspacesClient sends requests under /new-api/v1/.... Nitro forwards the original path to httpxy, which prepends the target path /api/. The upstream request can therefore become /api/new-api/v1/..., not /api/v1/....
Configure this proxy to map /new-api/v1/... to /api/v1/....

…nction-ci Resolves a conflict in services/workspaces.ts deleteWorkspace: develop's PR #151 (report OSM cleanup failure) and this branch both reworked it. Took develop's version (parallel delete via Promise.allSettled returning DeleteWorkspaceResult), dropped the now-unused OsmApiClientError import, and removed this branch's obsolete OSM-first deleteWorkspace tests from test/unit/services/workspaces-lifecycle.test.ts (develop's workspaces.test.ts already covers the new behavior). …ents remapCollidingIds decided whether a created-on-both-sides element was a duplicate by comparing raw content, including a way's or relation's raw child IDs. When a child node was created on both sides but differs, it is re-identified, yet a parent that referenced it by the same raw ID still read as identical and was collapsed onto A's copy — dropping one side's parent and orphaning the re-identified child. Decide children before parents and compare a parent against its effective (post-remap) references, so a parent whose child was re-identified reads as distinct and is kept. Identical parents still collapse to one. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Repeat the collision pass until no new remap occurs, so relations of relations are compared correctly.
The sort on Line 62 puts nodes before ways and ways before relations. Within the relation group, the order is the input order. Assume a created-on-both-sides relation R1 has another created-on-both-sides relation R2 as a member, and R2 comes after R1:
- The loop compares
R1whileR2is not yet remapped.withEffectiveReferencesreturns the rawR2ref, soR1compares as equal and is collapsed. - Next,
R2differs between the sides and gets a synthetic ID. - Lines 94-111 then repoint B's
R1at the new ID. B'sR1keeps A's ID, somerged.insert(elementB)on Line 193 replaces A'sR1.
Result: A's R1 membership now points at B's R2, and A's own R2 has lost its parent relation. No error is reported. This is the same failure that the earlier review comment raised for ways, now limited to relation-to-relation membership.
The remap set only grows. Each pass can only turn an "equal" decision into "different", so repeating the pass until it is stable terminates and handles any nesting depth.

The merge resolution kept this branch's vitest import line, but develop's deleteWorkspace tests use vi.fn(), failing typecheck. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Brings the workspace merge function (draft PR #143, branch
workspace-merge-function) together with currentdevelopso CI runs on the integrated result.workspace-merge-function(602b2b0) onto currentdevelop(ec5818e) — merged clean, no conflicts.osm-merge/osmChange/osmutils,useConflictResolutions,ConflictTagTable).Note: this duplicates draft PR #143's changes — intended as a CI/integration check against the latest
develop. Close whichever is redundant.Merged up with develop (
0f13ebf)Merged current
developback in to clear conflicts. One content conflict, inservices/workspaces.tsdeleteWorkspace: develop's PR #151 ("report OSM cleanup failure") and this branch had both reworked that method. Took develop's version — parallel delete viaPromise.allSettledreturningDeleteWorkspaceResult { osmRequestSucceeded }— dropped the now-unusedOsmApiClientErrorimport, and removed this branch's obsolete OSM-firstdeleteWorkspacetests (develop'sworkspaces.test.tsalready covers the new behavior).Follow-up: dedupe identical elements created on both sides (
76827aa)Problem. The three-way merge treats an element present on both sides but absent from the common ancestor as "created on both sides"; when both carry the same ID it remaps one onto a fresh synthetic ID so both survive. That is right for genuinely distinct elements that merely collide on an ID, but it misfires for split (multi-changeset) imports: the ancestor lookup is built from only the first import changeset (
#getInitialLookup), so elements that arrived in later import batches aren't in the ancestor. Both workspaces still hold identical copies of them, so they read as created-on-both-sides and got duplicated on every merge.Fix. An incremental content check in
remapCollidingIds(services/merge/three-way.ts): on a created-on-both-sides ID collision, compare the two elements' content viaelementContentEqual(util/osm-merge.ts). If identical, they are the same imported element, so B's copy collapses onto A's (skip the remap — keep one). Only elements that genuinely differ while sharing an ID are still remapped to a new ID.elementContentEqual= sametype&&geometryEqual&&tagsEqual, deliberately ignoring the per-workspace metadata (version / changeset / timestamp / user) that always differs between two workspaces built from the same import.tagsEqualcompares tag sets exactly (same keys, same values), so a later batch whose tags differ is not collapsed — not just geometry.Effective-reference recheck (
4790b2d). The collapse decision for a way/relation originally compared raw child IDs. A child node created-on-both-sides but differing between the two sides is re-identified (remapped), yet a parent referencing it by the same raw ID still read as identical and got collapsed — dropping one side's parent and orphaning the re-identified child. The fix decides children before parents and compares a parent against its effective (post-remap) references, so a parent whose child was re-identified reads as distinct and is kept; genuinely identical parents still collapse to one.Tests (
test/unit/services/merge-three-way.test.ts): identical both-sides elements collapse to a single copy with 0 conflicts; a both-sides element whose tags differ is kept as two; and a shared-ID way pointing at a child that differs is kept as two, each referencing its own node (no orphaned reference).Verified end-to-end on stage: a 260-node import merged with the old code produced 642 elements (260 nodes + 382 ways); with the dedupe it produced 451 (260 + 191), eliminating ~191 duplicate ways, while conflict resolution still selected the chosen side correctly.
