Hi @Simon-van-Diepen , this is a small fix but I thought it's nice to let you also have a look. This should fix the problem that sometime our Zenodo DOI badge does not render. Can you check if by this fix, the zenodo badge on branch zenodo_badge_fix always renders? Thanks! |

According to Zenodo's blog, the caching policy has changed due to security reseans. This unfortunately also influenced how the rendering of Zenodo DOI badges. At present, the redering of DOI badges sometimes fail. By refreshing sometimes it works.
Inspired by sklearn's fix, we can make a static badge using shields.io.
