About

Hi, I'm Shaynah! I'm an Atlanta-based developer who enjoys figuring out how things work and finding ways to make them work better.

My interest in development started with video games. They were something I loved sharing with my family, and eventually I wanted to understand how to create those experiences myself. I studied Game Design & Development at Georgia State University, where I became fascinated by the systems behind the scenes: logic, interactions, feedback, and all the little decisions that shape how something works.

That curiosity eventually found its way into automation. While working in technical operations, I kept noticing repetitive processes that involved too much manual checking, copying, and room for error. I started building Python tools to make those workflows faster, more reliable, and easier to manage. I especially enjoy breaking down complicated processes, thinking through the edge cases, and turning business rules into software people can confidently use.

I still love the creative side of development. I build browser games, interactive tools, and experiences that explore everything from trading psychology to game mechanics. I even turned my portfolio into a little operating system because I wanted exploring my work to be fun.

Whether I'm building a business automation or a game, the part I enjoy most is seeing an idea turn into something that actually works.

Python Automations

I build tools that take repetitive work off people's plates while keeping validation, exception handling, and human review in the workflow.

These public repositories are privacy-safe recreations of automations I developed for real business processes. All company and customer information has been replaced with fictional data.

A Python workflow that processes label requests from a shared inbox, reads Excel, PDF, and Word attachments, validates the requested text, prevents duplicate processing, and generates proofs with email drafts ready for human review.

Built with: Python, Microsoft Graph API, SQLite, document processing, and automated testing.

Impact: Reduced a process that could take up to two hours to under a minute.

A Python desktop application that reconciles QuickBooks exports, checks invoices against business rules, flags exceptions, generates PDF billing reports, and prepares an Outlook draft for review.

Built with: Python, Tkinter, CSV/PDF processing, unittest, and GitHub Actions.

Impact: Reduced weekly billing preparation from approximately two hours to 10–15 minutes.

Both projects include documented safeguards, realistic sample data, automated tests, and runnable demonstrations. You can also explore their interactive case studies on ShaynahOS.

Games & Interactive Experiences

Game design is still a big part of what I love about development. I enjoy building interactive systems, experimenting with mechanics, and figuring out how to make an experience feel intuitive and engaging.

A turn-based browser RPG that transforms trading psychology into battles against 11 bosses inspired by emotional habits. Features combat logic, changing market conditions, upgrades, limited-use tools, and gameplay balancing informed by playtesting.

Play the game

A browser game inspired by probability and patience, featuring custom Canvas physics, collision detection, responsive gameplay, combo mechanics, and synthesized audio.

VR Thriller

A 360° virtual reality experience I created for a virtual production course at Georgia State University. I designed the zombie characters, built the graveyard environment, worked with motion-capture animation, and brought everything together into an immersive tribute to Michael Jackson's Thriller.

Created with: Character Creator, iClone, 3DXchange, SketchUp, and Blender.

AlignedFX

AlignedFX grew out of my own experience with trading and the challenge of staying disciplined under pressure.

I wanted to explore trading psychology through interactive experiences, so I started building JavaScript games, assessments, calculators, and other tools centered on decision-making, patience, and emotional awareness.

It's been a creative way to combine my interests in psychology, game design, and programming while learning how to translate abstract concepts into functional systems and meaningful user interactions.
