…arlier claims Every install mints a new claimed generation per unit. The cursor proof (CursorOwner._matches_input) demanded that each input was sent under exactly the current claim, so after a restart no unit could ever prove its own history: the cursor never started and every wake rescanned the whole history under the registry lock. The claim is a writer fence, not the identity of who sent an input; require_live still fences a stale writer at publish. - NativeClaimEpoch.sent_by_lineage: sent under this claim or an earlier one of the same name (claims only grow, thread_identity.py:565). - The cursor proof, the recorded-reference check and InjectedInput.allows use it. Tool claim scope (selected_tool_broker.py:256) stays exact. - CursorOwner.cursor reads the thread's newest row at or below its claim; an earlier claim's row is an InheritedCursor whose first publish inserts this claim's row from it. without_input stamps the current claim. - Deletes #3186's foreign-claim bound (first_foreign_claim_source, SourcePrefix.before, the since() stop_seq) and its tests: nothing left for it to stop at. ACP scopes every cursor observation to the live claim (acp_extension.py validate_scope), and cursor_publication builds the envelope from a plain read without catching ValueError. An earlier claim's row read before the first publish would have raised there.
