Summary

  • Add a GitHub Actions workflow for pull requests targeting main and pushes to main.
  • Install dependencies with npm ci using the committed lockfile.
  • Run the Jest suite and ESLint; either failure fails the job.
  • Use Node.js 22 and read-only repository permissions.
  • Keep production database credentials out of CI; MongoDB integration tests remain opt-in through MONGODB_TEST_URI.

Validation

Opening this pull request triggers the workflow. I will use its results to validate the test and lint commands.
