wasi: wasmtime 48.0.6, past RUSTSEC-2026-0353 through -0364 - #29
Conversation
wasmtime 48.0.5 carries eleven RUSTSEC advisories (2026-0353 to -0364, all but -0360) in its component model, concurrency, store and handle-table code, and the Advisories check (`cargo audit --deny warnings`) refuses it: it is what holds #27 red. 48.0.6 fixes all of them. kore-wasi's requirements on `wasmtime` (both the target dependency and the host dev-dependency) and `wasmtime-wasi-io` move to 48.0.6, so no consumer can resolve a vulnerable release through this crate; a caret on 48.0.5 would still admit it. Cargo.lock moves the whole family and nothing else: wasmtime, wasmtime-environ, wasmtime-internal-*, wasmtime-wasi-io, pulley-*, and cranelift-* 0.135.6, 29 packages. native/Cargo.lock holds no Wasmtime and is unchanged. `cargo audit --deny warnings` passes on both lockfiles, and both resolve `--locked`. Why
wasmtime 48.0.5 carries eleven RUSTSEC advisories (2026-0353 through -0364, all but -0360) in its component-model, concurrency, store and handle-table code. The Advisories workflow (
cargo audit --deny warnings) refuses it on any branch cut fromalpha. That is the only red check on #27 (Advisories job); its build, target, entry and Miri jobs are green. 48.0.6 fixes all eleven. What

Once this lands on
alpha, #27 goes green on Advisories when it picks upalpha(merge or rebase); nothing in that PR needs to change.kore side
kore vendors Wasmtime as a
no_stdpatch and was still building 48.0.5. MicroPerceptron/kore#1299 carries that patch forward to 48.0.6 and fixes why kore's ownmake auditnever reported these advisories: crates patched to a path were invisible to it.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
