This looks good to me, there's just the minor date update @zacdezgeo pointed out.

These changes reflect the latest recommended path for searching for collections and items/granules:
While working on this I noticed that we don't reference earthaccess at all for doing granule searches so I filed #585 as a follow-up.
Resolves #584
