SM needs to import without changing the existing install.

Proposal

There used to be an Add Existing Package function that would just import my existing ComfyUI install without changing anything. This seems to be replaced with an Import Package function that requires one to choose, eg. a Python version, which then overwrites the venv one already has. This completely screwed up my existing ComfyUI package venv and I had to rebuild it from scratch.
Please bring back the old, minimalistic way of importing. Thanks.

I’d be fine with it just nuking the venv, if it didn’t delete all my models, nodes. And workflows… thier import feature is just a model holocaust as far as I’m concerned. I just lost 1.2tb worth of models just trying to migrate comfy over to SM.. it’s ridiculous there isn’t even so much as a warning that’s it’s going to happen.

@pr0dukt We've replied to you in #1733 — short version: the import/shared-folder code moves models into the central Data\Models folder, it doesn't delete them, so please check there (and the other locations listed in that reply) before assuming anything is lost.

Please keep discussion of your situation in #1733 and don't post about it on unrelated issues and discussions — it derails other people's threads and spreads the details we need across multiple places. Happy to keep helping you over there.
